Dragon's Dogma PC Version arrives on January 16

Finally a proper version. The console version ran like a game in pre-alpha. Awful, awful frame rate, blurry textures and overall the game looked very rough. PC will see huge improvements especially in terms of frame rate and resolution.

I didn't think the console version sucked for being poorly performing consoles, I just thought the game itself sucked... anyhow, Capcom made a subscription based MMORPG, yet haven't released it outside Japan. Probably never will. Nobody ask "what happened?" when Capcom files for bankruptcy in coming years.

@AM-Gamer: I actually enjoyed the bit I played on PS3 when it was free on PS Plus but the frame rate was just unbearable.

It had some technical issues but the PS3/360 were very long in the tooth. i wouldn't mind a PS4 version. I was actually hoping Deep Down was going to be a Dragons Dogma sequel that would be amazing.

Awww yeah, probably one of the most underrated games last gen.

A better frame rate would make this game so much better than it already is.

They pushed the consoles past their breaking point.

My only real complaint with the game is it needed a bigger map, although I did like they way they crafted it, you could memorise the map easily unlike other open world games. Game desperately needs a proper sequel.

Day 1. Loved this game last gen on my 360.

I'm a maxed out Ranger with ten shot arrow skill + explosive Arrows. I obliterate Death, Daemon even in 2nd run on Bitterblack isle Hard Difficulty HeHe. Love it Love it Love it :)

Love that game. This and mirror's edge are the only game I finished 3 times last gen. It really deserve a sequel.

Enjoy Dragon's Dogma back on PS3 but I honestly don't feel like replaying it again, so I'll just take a pass on the PC port but still, glad for those who will be picking up PC version are in for a real treat, it's an awesome game by Capcom.

Was a ranger too, it's been a while since i played it though and I haven't finished the game either, nor did I do dark arisen dlc. I got a corrupt save game because i switched xboxes and left it at that.

But that pc version is mine. The dragon in dragon's dogma puts skyrim to shame.

Every game PC gets is a loss for consoles and a victory for the consumer.

Heh, gear up for the best version Commander. I think i'll get the PC version too at one point (cheaper) and try out a different vocation this time lol :)

.More Japanese support the better if PC gaming had a presence in Japan we would have gotten the game early but looks liek Japanese developer realize there money to be made. Your going have to wait for the ps4 version to even be announced if at all.

@skelly34: lol mod support? Capcom mod support is usually horrible. And when your playing with scraps the consoles Will be getting the latest and greatest games. Again the PC is an after thought as it should be. Multiplats make more money on consoles. Ease of use, a completely seemless experience and exclusives are the reason people game on consoles over PC. And DD was never an exclusive it was a PS3/360 multiplat.

Again, you've done literally nothing to refute any of what I said. It was exclusive to consoles. In fact you actually agreed with me that exclusives were the real (only) reason people bought consoles. So how in your mind is losing exclusivity not a loss for consoles?

@skelly34: Because you live in this imaginary land where it's consoles vs PC. DD wasn't an exclusive why is that so hard for you to understand? So it was never a loss for either console. The PC version exist as the PS3 and 360 are no longer viable. And the PC version of DD looks like it will also be released on PS4/XB1. So how was something a loss when neither platform could call it a exclusive?

A loss would be something like BB or UC4 coming to PC. That would be a loss for the PS brand. Or Halo 5 coming to PC. DD is just an example of a multiplat coming to PC 4 years later mainly because it allows them to easily rerelease the game on 3 different platforms.

Yet pc is second in revenue for Ubisoft considering the new console lack a large library of games to play even the new games like AC is worse on console. Sales all around are declining on console due to expanding library compared to last year. Japanese games have made its way to pc and more to come when they realize they can make more money. And DD was a niche japanese game anyways that barely sold a million even in a year.

It is easily my top10 of last gen,it is a gain for the PC gamers indeed and a loss to no one.

And again,if you are interested in great games like this,buy yourself a god damn console already,master wait.

And AC is worse on consoles ? Um that's ok because the series has become completely irrelevant nobody cares that SOME pc's run it better then consoles. And DD wasn't exactly niche it had over 2 million in sales . It's to bad you couldn't play it earlier because you would have realized how much the combat sucks in other open world fantasy games in comparison. Regardless it's PC release is mainly because of the console remaster.

• Best version of nearly all video games by far, especially most major releases this gen.
• Most AAA/AA/A total games. PC gets funneled the most multiplats period. Just look at this game. And it'll be substantially superior on PC.
• Most AAA/AA/A exclusives.
• Quickest patches and updates, with the best and fastest online.
• Most hardware and software sales, than all 3 consoles COMBINED.

PC, clearly an afterthought.

A platform with a user base with less game to choose from that why sales last year were higher because of less games to choose from and AC also looks better on pc actually running in full HD. There also games being bundled as well. It sold two million in what over two years across two platforms. Yep A console remaster that has yet to be announced. PC doesn't need to sell as much copies to earn more revenue because of higher digital sales.

@deathlordcrime: Um they are always higher and the less games argument isn't valid when the system has over 500 games to choose from. That may be a valid argument for the first year but not anymore.

500 games? Most of those many have not heard of and that's far from what steam offers. Why do you think dev are trying to cash over with remastered.

Keep trying to define exclusive when you know perfectly well what I mean.

DD coming to PC isn't a big loss for anyone in particular considering that it was a last gen game. I was just trying to make you understand the fact that every console port that comes to PC devalues them because exclusive games is the only thing that consoles have going for them.

This whole, "E-enjoy your scraps h-hermits!" is nothing more than your run-of-the-mill damage control. Kind of in the same alley as "Thanks for beta testing consolites."

@skelly34: Again you says it devalues consoles? The PS3/360 are dead at this point so you basically agreed with me. Exclusives are the main reason to buy a console so let me know when a PlayStation one comes to PC.

Except for most AAA games aren't release on it. A lot of games did sell a lot thou on the Wii U like Smash brother with a large portion of the install base owning it.

Ah simple a smaller user base compare to the PS4 with similar library if it was the same like the ps4 it would be very similar. PS4 being cheaper in the beginning help it boost more consumer.

They all have a similar library when it comes to big budget games.

Your forgetting one has a similar library of games to the ps4 while the others has much bigger one. 75% of ps4 games don't even have retail releases.
