If not then who? Hehe :D

Id have to say no, I think Buck from odst is much better, I downright hated drake in Uncharted 1 he was annoying as hell.
I've not played 2 yet so i can't tell.
If not then who? Coolest white boy to date, wonder what state he represent, hehe :D

If I said that CJ is the coolest black charcter to date I would be labeled racist. Don't qualify people or charcters by skin color. It further enhances the notion that we are seperate. We are not. We are people. Not removing the term white boy makes you racist.

I would not label you a racist, and I don't see how "labeling" Drake what he actually is, is racist, but I will oblige, I don't want to offend anyone.
Of course. He exists because of polygons created by playstation 3's. How could YOU not hate him?Id have to say no, I think Buck from odst is much better, I downright hated drake in Uncharted 1 he was annoying as hell.

I found Nathan Hale to be much better personally if we are talking exclusively about ps3 games.[QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"]

I'll have to agree with you on that one. Very charismatic character aswell. Can't forget about Andrew Ryan either.

even tho he acts nothing like them :|Why do people like Drake so much? He's so average, and his character has been done hundreds of times.
He's pretty much Harrison Ford, in Indie, Star Wars, probably every other Harrison Ford movie ever ...

Three Dog from Fallout 3 and Brucie from GTA IV are pretty charismatic.ParasomniacThree Dog from Fallout 3 reminded me of Super Soul from 1971's movie Vanishing Point...Anyone else catches my drift?

I found Nathan Hale very dry.

He really does, he's plain, boring, but has enough wit and charm to carry himself.
He remnds me of a less hardcore Jansen, from LO ... but with a brain
It seems to me the only reason you folk like him is cause he's so average.

I don't know maybe in my opinion it's because he's some what relatable, i mean comon, you can't really connect with master chief cause he's pretty much super human andwhy Dr. Gordon has a fan following human scientist makes a big mistake tries to fix it etc he's a regular guy with fancy weapons, it's the same thing with comic book characters, alot of people like batman, punisher, these guys are not super human just regular guys doing extraordinary things somewhat relatable. I like Nathan cause he reminds me of Bruce Willis from die hard, wrong place wrong time, but has always something funny to say.

If he were Bruce Willis then i'd agree Uncharted is the best game to grace any console ever.
Sadly hes not ... He's just Joe bloggs, shooting out witty one liners and flirting with strange looking girls.
A game character who acts like Nathan Fillion or Harrison Ford? And people are complaining? I approve greatly of said comparisons! Also: Jansen was a misogynistic womanizing tool. My least favorite and the least believable character in all of Lost Odyssey =/Jandurin
Less hardcore!!! Drake has more tact and can keep his mouth shut at times.
Least favorite? The whole cast was ****

what does less hardcore mean? and yeah, the whole cast of LO was pretty lame. That's the main reason I think it deserved no more than a 7.5 or 8[QUOTE="Stats_"][QUOTE="Jandurin"]A game character who acts like Nathan Fillion or Harrison Ford? And people are complaining? In doing so they made his personality completely unbelieveble.
Uncharteds cast, while not amazing is more even, so Drake dosen't have to stand out as much, so is much more ... lets say toned down, comapared to Jansen
Mistwalker make good RPG's, but when it xomes to characters and stories ... they need a new writer.
Absolutely. Is Drake the same as he was in Uncharted 1? Because I liked that character...they need a new writer.

Yep he most definitely is. He probably is the most charismatic character this generation but he stands on the shoulders of giants; he's not the most intriguing character but he is really fun to watch.

That's the point i'm trying to make, he's just a regular joe makes him more relatable. This gen alot of the main characters are superhuman or musclebound charge in a room guns blazing etc. its a nice change of pace not to play as one of those types of characters, and i never said uncharted is the best game ever, all i said is i like his character.

Being regular and therefore average, should exclude him from being charismatic. The attraction of playing with a character you can relate to, is in my opinon overrated.
Normal people are too boring, even when put in situations like UC.
Bruce Willis is anything but normal, in fact ... he probably does have superpowers, he just knows how to conceal them.

Okay not everyone can do that, freerunning sport thing okay, maybe i should have said just a regular human with limitations. Maybe every protagonist in video games should have super powers or be able to jump six feet in the air with a bubble shield or better yet be virtually indestructable?
Being regular and therefore average, should exclude him from being charismatic.

You don't have to be extraordinary and unique to be charismatic. It's simply the way you present yourself. There was once a simple painter who became one of the most charismatic people of all time, much better than Bruce Willis even, that he was able to make an entire nation bow down to his will. Charisma arouses intrigue: it's not intrigue in and of itself. The measure of an 'average' character/personality is measured through such qualities. Charisma is simply presentation, devoid of your psychological profile.
So yeah, you don't need to be the Son of Zeus, the Chosen One, or a Serial Rapist to be charismatic :S
i kind of miss the days of the game genie where you could always super up your character. that only really is available on the PC nowbetter yet be virtually indestructable?
