Looks and sounds like the Cavia team is still around (the gameplay, art design and music sound decidedly like Nier). I better get on playing the first two Drakengards. I want this.

I wonder if it will be as depressing as the other 2 games. Defently not games to play when you wanna see happy stuff. Also only thing I found negative is the eye flower thing. It doesint look cool it just looks silly.
The info we've heard and the trailer give me high hopes for this. Most of the team from Drakengard 1 and 2 and Nier seem to be on board, so it should retain its style. I just hope it's still as bizarre and bleak as the previous ones. Drakengard 1 is one of the most depressing and twisted storylines I've seen since Silent Hill 2 (Nier too, but it's not quite as bizarre as Drakengard, but equally good).
The series never did have strong graphics or gameplay, it's more about the atmosphere, story, characters and amazing music that make them great. As long as it has that, I won't have a problem with it.

I also remember just leveling up the weapons to see the stories behind them. Even though they were different gameplay wise the story for each weapon was intersting enough that it made you grind just to see it.

If you haven't checked it out already, you should give this a read. It's sounding like it's going to be right in line with the others when it comes to tone.
