First and foremost this is not a bash thread even though this is system wars I just wanted to say that I find the 360 and dreamcast to be ridiculously similar. Opinions?
I mean the Dreamcast was awesome and so is the 360, but the Dreamcast died due to lack of 3rd party support and the 360 doesnt seem to have the problem.... so I'm not seeing any comparison here. Oh WAIT! they are both white and later released a black version of their console.... so i guess they are exactly the same in every aspect! :roll:
the controllers are very similar their logos are very similar they both have heavy support from capcom as you mention same color scheme both had black predecessors and I'm sure I'm missing somethings.
- the 360 came out a year earlier than its competition, like the Dreamcast - the colours are the same - a black Dreamcast eventually came out, a black 360 is coming out - IMO, both have great games - apparently a DVD drive add-on was supposed to come out for the Dreamcast, the 360 has the HD-DVD add-on
Differences:

There is no dreamcast in this gen. I thought the 360 was similar to the ps2. Both have the best games, both have disc read errors (:cry:), both were winning the console war around this far into their lives, both were the middle console in terms of $ (not counting the dreamcast).
More differences. The X360 is the second MS console to be released. Also, Microsoft is not in any financial trouble whatsoever, unlike Sega at the time.

Not to mention the PS2 had a huge sales boost thanks to Matrix on DVD. People were buying the PS2 as a cheap DVD player with a game console built-in.
Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are a bit too early, so that won't be the same as it was 5 years ago.
thinking about how passionate fanboys can be what the hell happened to the sega fanboys they must have been crushed, cause i know how pissed off and upset ps fanboys would be or xbox fanboys would be if there consoles died, if sony failed i can just imagin how bad the xbox360 fanboys would be, did the diehard sega fanboys quit gaming or move on to other consoles
In reality, being compared to the Dreamcast is pretty awesome because the Dreamcast holds Legend status on these boards...just make sure you dont die out like it though.

Im sorry but thats just stupid. The 360 controller is 10000 times better. The xbox1 controller looks more like the dreamcast controller I actually perfer the dreamcast controller so to me your opinion is stupid
