The dreamcast was the only console that made me stop playing pc games (struck by lightning) this console wasfar ahead of it's time. There were so many great games even the 56k games had little to no lag and the nic adapter sealed the deal. I remember playing soul caliber and thinking this Shi%'s on my pc's graphics this is heaven.
I refused to buy a ps2 for the longest because the dreamcast was so much better if only sega had more money (sobs), sorry it's too painful (hugs dreamcast that still works) I can't say anymore
Sonic Adventure was awesome. As was Soul Caliber and NFL 2K. Then I bought a crap game called Armada for it. My interest waned a bit. It was then that I decided to get a gaming PC and sell the DC to my brother.
My Gateway 600MHz PC with the original GeForce card came with Diablo, Starcraft, and Half-Life. Guess what happened to my gaming preference about then.
Endless nights playing Mvs.C2 with my buds drunk off our asses. Love the Dreamcast and still have it, and play it!ChuteboxI still have the arcade stick and the thrustmaster wheel for ferrari 355 one of the best racing games ever. I even have the fishing reel and light gun still from house of the dead !!
I am still waiting for shenmue 3 and a new skies of arcadia plus crazy taxi. I stopped going to the arcade for a while when SFA3 came out me and my peps would play for hours till our hands had blisters.

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.
I got that on the GC and play it on my Wii, I had it on my DC also and it is the best 3D Sonic game ever. It was not glitchy and the whole Chao thing was awsome.

Look I understand that everyone loves the Dreamcast and all, but the best ever? Really? It had a handful of great games, and was a rock solid piece of hardware, but it failed due to a lack of support from software developers.
I did indeed also freak out the first time I saw Soul Calibur, but not being a huge fighter fan that didn't last very long for me.
The best ever to me has easily been the original Xbox.

Sega has so many great games the could make that are high AA to AAA.
Cheers to the Dreamcast.... some of the best games i've played were on it.... RE: Code Veronica, Crazy Taxi & Soul Calibur.Veterngamerhere here, i wish they still made memory cards like that for todays systems. sega bass fishing was one of the best drinking games i've ever played with friends so effing fun especially if you had the fishing pole controller
Wrong! The correct answer would be the Super Nintendo, nice try though.lantus
