What value does that hold in relation to today's console war? A lot of people think PS3 should lose, because they felt Sony dropped the ball this gen.

The Dreamcast was WAY better than the PS1 and PS2 any day. It made the PS2 look like garbage. But people weren't buying the Dreamcast. They were still playing the lame PS1 and getting ready for lame PS2. Today for example ... the PS3 is much more powerful than the Nintendo Wii, but the Wii is blowing it out of the water. Nintendo is making better games and games that are fun. That is why the Wii will win. It's all about sales and support. The only difference is, last time the Dreamcast should have won.
