last gen technically yes, but really??? no. .

I thought it was pretty cool, and had some great games. but the other three were just better overall.

I get where you're coming from. To me, the SNES will probably always be the greatest console ever, but by God, the Dreamcast was just amazing. I can't really explain it; something about the combination of great graphics and all the wacky (and extremely unique) games that were released for the DC just made it into one of the best console experiences I ever had. From Maken X to Virtual On to MvC 2 to Shenmue, the DC was definitely special. That it was technically on par with the PS2 but never given the same chance is one of the reasons I hate Sony to this day (although they haven't really helped themselves out too much lately).

Actually I think you started it, all I asked is didn't Sega do it to themselves. Like I said only fanboys will blame Sony for what happened, they were just doing their job. Blame the consumer who bought Sony products over Sega products.

Ahhhhhhh System Wars...A place where facetious comments like "Then here comes Sony and kill steals" are taken seriously enough that the concept of "kill stealing" is then pointed out not to exist in the real world. Wow. Maybe instead of trying to claim that the people who blaim Sony for the DC's demiseare blind fanboys, you guys should relax a little, a not be so quick to turn around and kiss Sony's posterior. Do you get paid by Sony? If not, why are you so offended by these comments? It's fairly widely acknowledged that the PS2's entry into the market was a big factor in the DC's demise, so yes, Sony can be said to be partially responsible for said event. Is it business? Of course. Does that mean that anyone who holds a grudge against Sony sounds like they're 5? Only to someone who gets all weepy about anti-Sony comments. Are you guys at all into sports? Do you have a favorite team? Lots of people blindly hate another team specifically because of their relationship to the person's favorite team (maybe Team A is in the same conference as Team B, Team B always beats Team A, etc.). No one accuses Cubs fans of being babies just because they hate the Cardinals, and yet this type of blind hatred is just as nonsensical. You guys need to relax; no one's talking about sending a nuclear missile to Sony HQ.

Yeah, Sega lost a lot of money with the Saturn and then they lost money with the Dreamcastuntil they didn't have enough money to continue making consoles. Now all they do is make multi-plat games.
