DS lite or PS3 ?

i have to choose something to buy but i only have two chooses

1 - ps3 have nothing and don't know how to use

2- ds lite have R4 n-card and Pokemon and a good player

i want ps3 for DMC4 and other cool games

and ds because i lost lot of money on it
