i think even the fanboys have accepted this now. they're on to wii denial now.OntainBUT... EVERY1 VOTEZ. Ha.
in sales.......yes, in everything else NO. remember good sales don't mean that the product is good. for ex. Burger King games outsold GeOW, does it mean they were better......... Hell NO.musclesergethis is a really weak argument. first, you're comparing a 4 buck game and 60 buck game to 2 consoles. second, sales will ultimately determine what console gets the most developer support. that's the most important thing. that's not something that car, movie, or restaurant analogies take into account.
I dunno, the DS lite is selling well, and I have one, but I got so bored with it after about a month. As a hand held game console and nothing more, it's really not that great. Most of the games really, really suck. Like all other Nintendo consoles, the first party is excellent, far better than anything on the PSP, but still it's a feast or famine scenario. Most of the games I've played don't really benefit from the touch screen, not like I couldn't have just used a button and a cursor to accomplish the same effect.
I agree it will sell well, but I really think it's because of the price. The PSP is just as good a gaming device, with consistantly more quality titles, but it's also a PVP, MP3 player and an internet device. I really get alot of use out of it. But at 2 or 3 times the cost of a DS, people looking for games don't see the difference.
Really to be fair, comparing the DS and the PSP is about as fair as comparing the PS3 and the Wii. They're two totally different types of devices. With only one small area of commonality.
I dont know how because in my opinion the PSP has better games..but I will be getting a DS just for the New Pokemon game...than sell it 2 months laterpoopinloop32Hell yeah dude. Pokemon FTW. No matter how hard I try to hate Pokemon, I always end up buying the new games on the first day. Its like a cute and cuddly version of ghonnerea. It just won't go away.

I never once said that there was no good third party DS games. But you have to admit, the DS has alot of less than decent third party games.

But I'm willing to bet you didn't think that way when PS2 was winning in SALES against GC right??

I would buy a DS just for Phantom Hourglass, even though I already have a lite.metroidman7_11?? You already have a DS lite, but you would buy another one to play Zelda??
I dunno, I don't find myself with any lack of stuff to play on DS. Pheonix Wright, Hotel Dusk, Yoshi's Island, and both Castlevanias were very highly rated and all third party.
PSP's doing alright for games. However, a lot of the games on it are not really "pick up and play" affairs, and a handheld that costs more than $200 is a bit of a weird proposition. The PSP is a pretty good system, but the DS is a better *portable*.

Correction... That game was first party, small error... but point well made.
Well it doesnt hurt that every 10 year old has a ds, i own one and i own a psp and enjoy my psp alot more then the ds lite. Firstly the psp just plain has more great games, yes this is my opinion but its also gamespots and igns opinion as well. 2ndly dont lie about this, unless you have super small hands after about 10 minutes the dslite cramps my hands! WTF is up with that, be truthful does this happen to anyone else? cause it happens to me and my bro and my hands arent that big. While the psp feels great. The ds is better for 10 minute sessions or 15 minute sessions but if your going to play longer then the psp is the way to go.Oh and might i add, sales wise the psp is a success, and at 200$ for a handheld, thats pretty good considering the ds is only 130 bucks, i think sales would def rocket for the psp if they had a price drop.
You're holding it the wrong way. You're most likely pushing your hands in right? Like a cradle? That's not how it's supposed to be. You're supposed to let your hands relax and spread out, give the DS Lite some air. It also doesn't feel heavy since it's very light!Well it doesnt hurt that every 10 year old has a ds, i own one and i own a psp and enjoy my psp alot more then the ds lite. I'd say the DS is the best system to get right now, console or handheld, and it's even better if you don't own a GBA. There's so many good games for it i'm considering robbing my nearest games shop.SparkysI'll agree with that pretty much. Except the robbing part. You're liable to get caught, shot, or taught... a lesson.
PSP is starting to turn the corner as far as good games imo. The time between the releases of great games like Syphon Filter, and GTA: VCS was pretty big, but VCS, MGS: PO, and R&C: Size Matters are all great games that came out fairly close to each other. And there is plenty of other great stuff on the horizon. The PSP's biggest problem is that it's still too much for a handheld, they need to come down to at least $150 for the Premium Pack I've seen floating around, and $130 for the Core. Then it will start to fly off shelves, at least here in the U.S.Gamer46I agree, if Sony wants it to sell, they need to lower down the price. In fact, I think you can buy PS2s that are lower than the price of the PSP.
Almost one year after launch DS Lite is still flying of the shelves. It took me forever to find one...i went on ebay to see what they are going for and i wasn't about to pay 160+ dollars for a ds. It is and will continue to be THE most popular system out there in the coming year....casinaterThe point of this topic was soely to point out that DS is outselling PSP? The games on the PS2 are cheap, especially the Greatest Hits titles, not to mention it's $100 cheaper and there are still good cames that have been coming out for it like Rogue Galaxy and God of War II. The PSP doesn't have as many great games as the PS2 or even the DS, and you already have a computer to go on the internet, or to download music. These factors are abso-posi-lutely going to make the PSP an irrelevant gaming machine in the future.
