Ds vs. GBA

which handheld do you prefer?

I had more fun with my GBA at the time.

I like the DS a lot, but I go much longer periods without playing it, than I did last gen. Barely played my DS this year.

It's close for me, but DS wins, especially considering it can play GBA games.

If the DS could play GB/GBC games, it would be THE ULTIMATE!!

FF3 was boring, in every sense of that word. I played it for a long time too, thinking it would get better, and it got worse.

Much, much better... I'm in the same boat as you for III, but I think IV is great.

less grinding: check

better characters: check

better pacing: check

It lacks the character customization from FF3...but thats only a small minus.

DS is overrated. I bet half the people are picking DS because it can play GBA games. Which is funny. They have to use GBA games to justify their choice. :lol:SSCyborg

technically they could play GBA games on another handheld not made by nintendo :P

Well you can't play GB/GBC games on DS, but you can on GBA. Also, you can't play the multiplayer content in GBA games with the DS.

Much, much better... I'm in the same boat as you for III, but I think IV is great.

Hm.. I'll probably end up getting it, IV seems to be much better reviewed than III and the fans seem to prefer it too. I'll wait till it drops in price in like a month or two though, just in case it ends up sucking.

The GBA Ace Attorney games never reached anywhere outside of Japan, making it relatively exclusive to nearly everyone here not to mention the DS versions are translated while the GBA ones aren't!

Just because you don't understand the game doesn't mean it wasn't on that platform. And it's not like you couldn't get the translations.

GBA has Super Robot Taisen in english so GBA.insanejedi

DS has Super Robot Taisen W, and yeah it's in japanese...just the way I like it!

And by far, the DS dominates GBA so....DS for me.
