DS vs LOZ

Demon's souls or legend of zelda? I pick the former.

Demon's Souls. You should probably be a little more specific about just which LOZ you're talking about (I know you mean Twilight Princess but you only mentioned it in the poll).

Demon's Souls was a great game while I could'nt bring myself to finish TP. Not that it was bad, I just lost interest along the way and found it inferior to WW.

my interest for Zelda games really made a 180 after windwaker, which is the best imo.

Atleast this is a better matchup than yesterday's "Demon's Souls vs Fable 3" :lol:

the formula, settings, the amazing mood every zelda game creates, accessiblity, gameplay, exploration, combat, music, enemy design, character design. ect. Zelda is the pinnacle of gaming, has been since 1986.

Umm why are you comparing a Action RPG with Dungeon crawler elements to a Action Adventure game?

How dare you even mention Demon's Souls in the same sentence as the best series of all time :P. Seriously though, for me its LoZ but a LOOOOONG shot. SS is going to be better then both I bet though.

Combat (with the lock on) makes a bit of Demon's souls like the PS3's version of LoZ

People always assume this but there's actually a GOOD back-story there for the people who take the time to piece it all together. Hell, just look it up on Wikipedia. It seriously isn't bad.

Story = crap to nonexistant

graphics = crap (for PS3)

lasting appeal = (oh yay I get to play through a lackluster game again and NOTHING changes)

Customization = ....THIS is what they call customization on today's standards?

Seriously I bought and beat DS and do not get the hype. I hyped it to be a 3D diablo 1 and thought I would love it. not so much.

:lol: yeah but I got to the tower knight 5 times. :P Nah, it is a great game, but it just wasn't for me. The game really isn't for everybody, and it's really no where near as good as zelda. I meant what I said in my first post.

Been playing LoZ since the NES and found TP has nothing to make it stand out among previous titles... Bad game?? probably not, but definitely very very weak for a LoZ, as stated before, it is the weakest title in the series.

That is pretty true. I dont like fallout 3, oblivion, fable II, or this game because they all lack a lot. Especially in the customization department. I mean JRPG's, diablo II, and other RPG's have awesome customization where you feel custom and not just like everyone else that has the 1 item out of a whopping 30....ooooh wow! Borderlands is the best one in awhile for this and even that pales in comparison to games like Diablo II.

I honestly don't think people who hate on it even played it. The game is amazing, it shouldn't have to do anything new when it does everything extremely well with great settings and a well told dark theme.
