Apparantley it appeared on a developers forum for sale for $10,000 with shots of a basic PC tower and a moniter running known basic programs. Digital Foundry checks it outs link

"Beyond that, further information is sketchy and unreliable. DaE reckons that the current devkits were dispatched to studios in February, and feature Intel CPUs and a graphics card that carries the NVIDIA brand - but he doesn't identify either part more specifically. He also claims that the Durango kit features more than 8GB of memory (other sources have suggested 12GB), and that it is 64-bit in nature - at this point it's worth bearing in mind that dev hardware typically features double the RAM of retail kit in order to accommodate debugging tools and other systems. DaE also says that Microsoft is targeting an eight-core CPU for the final retail hardware - if true, this must surely be based around Atom architecture to fit inside the thermal envelope. The hardware configuration seems difficult to believe as it is so divorced from the technological make-up of the current Xbox 360, and we could find no corroborative sources to establish the Intel/NVIDIA hook-up, let alone the eight-core CPU."

Its legit. This guy has been selling dev kits on one forum just made for that stuff. After he tried to sell this one, they banned him. He is no longer selling it, but it seems that he was legit.

I think this kit is for power emulation, rather than been an actual kit, like it happen when Gears of war was shown on E3 2005 using 2 6800 in SLI and running on a PC. I don't think MS will be back with Nvidia and Intel, both are more expensive than AMD,also who would may a SOC.? I don't see Ndivia working with Intel to make a join chip, also that would mean poor if any backward compatibility, but i also think sony has a problem to with backward compatibility on the PS4 even more than MS,emulating PS2 games had been impossible, imaging emulating Cell. The 8 GB of Ram say nothing debug units use always more ram.

I would have thought they would have stuck with AMD after Nvidea gave them trouble with the Xbox. So I'l take this one with a grain of salt. That and the durango background makes me think of the Matrix.

It's a dev kit. That's what the interface of the devkit looks like, not the actual UI of the system.

I don't think they give them trouble,Nvidia did not wanted to lower the price even after the tech went down in cost, and Intel did quite good, the problem was it was to expensive it was MS who did things bad,and did not secure a better deal with those companies and those companies been PC exclusive also hurt MS,the terms for MS were set like any other PC part, that wasn't cost effective to MS reason why they loss 4 billions, imagine how much more they would have loose if the original xbox sold like the xbox 360 has,the losses would have send even MS flying out of the market. I know now they can secure a much better deal than they did on 2001,but i don't thinks in power per dollar that they will out do AMD CPU and GPU.

Leaks like this are not uncommon,if not the first time anything 360 leaks and some one get in trouble for it,just a month a specs for the next xbox leak,a dev kit having and Intel CPU and a Nvidia card say nothing,Gears of war was basically made on a PC with more ram and a dual sli set up from Nvidia it mean nothing, early 360 dev kits were not strong enough to ran the game.

"The devkit itself is an anonymous-looking black box, said by one next-gen developer to contain parts that have much in common with a modern "standard gaming PC"" :) Good job Microsoft. Cheap hardware is the way to go!

I imagine an intel cpu would hike up the price and I don't think MS will go with Nvidia again.

8 GB of RAM is nice to hear, the rumored 12 seemed a bit much but what do I know? I just play them not make them.

8 core processor rumors, more of them. That sounds logical if they do not want Kinect 2.0 to have it's own processor to keep the price down.

This will also allow them to run a slower clock speed and thus prevent heating issues that the 360 had.

8-core CPU and 4GB(8GB dev kit) sounds right. Although, I thought we'd see a quad-core APU paired with another GPU. Rumors is rumors.

The dude is backtracking now.. Is fake Intel and Nvidia are to expensive even for MS. AMD gpu and CPU i think will be in both units, the next xbox will use ddr3,the PS4 will use DDR5.
