During Xbox One launch access on spike

The creators of Titanfall said they have a "huge" announcement for Xbox fans at VGX.......

My guess, MS bought the franchise.

What are your guys thoughts?

I really, truly doubt that.

Titanfall is positioned to possibly be the next CoD, and CoD is a billion dollar franchise.

Sure, it might not get to the point of selling 20 million copies a year, but it'll probably still become far more valuable than any amount of money MS would be willing to buy it for.

its already be stated that it will only be released on only Xbox and Windows - so i doubt they bought it

If titanfall does well in both sales and critiques. (Pretty good chance that it does.)

MS will drop every cent they can to keep it.

But Microsoft doesn't get any profit from people purchasing games on Windows unless they published the game.

The creators of Titanfall weren't too fond of EA making the deal with MS so it's not likely that it's related to that .. What kind of announcement would that be anyway.

Will they? Won't EA just use Origin for PC, and I don't see any confirmation that Azure Cloud will be used for the PC version, I know that it will be used on the Xbox version though.

There is zero credibility they were upset over this. Respawn said MONTHS ago this game isn't possible on the PS4 because they don't have the technology to support it.

Vince and group left activison because of the fallout between a publisher and creator dispute, they wouldn't make a new series under EA just so the same will happen to them again. These guys clearly have the talent to build long lasting franchises, so there's very low chance they want to make it exclusive to anything.

So, according to some folks here, the "big" announcement would be a reminder that the game will be Xbox and PC only?

What about an earlier release date? Cross platform with 360 / PC? Or some super awesome day 1 DLC?

Not be the first and certainly wont be the last time. MS has secured some massive exclusives in the past. Really think MS have pulled off a masterstroke with TITANfall. If it sells quarter the amount of COD then it'll be like printing money.

Game itself doesn't interest me at all TBH and not really losing any sleep over it not being on PS4 but it will make money. You can guarantee that.
