Maybe they will learn this time.
I dunno. Am I going to stop recieving any and ALL support due to alleged pirates killing the game this time? :roll:Verge_6
They really blow that out of proportion, Crysis sold very well and EA, who funded the game, said it exceeded expectations.
That Turkish guy with the weird name needs to stop crying and worry about and support the customers who are loyal and who pay for the games.

Crytek needed a scapegoat and an excuse to stop supporting the game for some damnable reason, and that is just totally inexcusable. Crysis was STILL buggier than hell (a trend amongst Crytek games, it seems) even after the 1.2 patch. Yes, my framerate improved, but it was still a glitch-orgy. Just run the console while you play and look at all the errors that pop up. The fact they just said 'screw you' to those of us that bought it is unbelievable.
I dunno. Am I going to stop recieving any and ALL support due to alleged pirates killing the game this time? :roll:Verge_6I strongly doubt anygame is going to be as heavily pirated as GTA IV on the 360 was this year.
Actually on that note the game was quite buggy, i remember Crytek complaining about pushing it out the door for christmas, missing polish on the engine and whatnot.
The improvements are even very noticeable in the 1.2 patch.
None the less Warhead is going to be alot more refined for a stand alone expansion.

Did the Crytek guy say that for 1 of every Crysis sold there were 20 pirates?EDIT: LINK
Even if only for paying customers who buy Warhead, they should really backport any enhancements to the original. It'd be nice to see what the fuss is about without cranking stuff down to Medium just to run on an 8800 GT.Actually on that note the game was quite buggy, i remember Crytek complaining about pushing it out the door for christmas, missing polish on the engine and whatnot.

Looks like he was playing on easy or such, I can create that type of action in vanilla crysis. It's all abouit how you play it. Most people just put the difficulty at max and then had to just cloak and headshot for 12 hours. if you drop the difficulty down a couplw notches Crysis changes from a slow stealth game into a super fast-paced action thriller.
But it looks awesome and I like how smooth the framerate looked.

An estimation of course, and they admit it, and they admit the hardware specs were a factor. Of course im not denying it was downloaded alotGTA IV was still the most heavily pirated game, taking that the PAL and NTCS version downloads were leaked a week before the game came out, and Rockstar released a statement on the rampant piracy.
Wasn't the GTAIV 1 million an estimate too?Even if the piracy ratio of Crysis was 1:2 that would've been quite a bit. I wouldn't doubt if it near or higher than GTAIV.An estimation of course, and they admit it, and they admit the hardware specs were a factor. Of course im not denying it was downloaded alot

Don't you mean "Original Crysis, wut?" We said "COD4, wut", once Crysis was shown off.

I wouldn't doubt if it near or higher than GTAIV.Im not sure what GTA IVs estimate was, though I do know its numbers were insane. Personally - a local friend who had chipped their 360 (as its legal here), showed me the tracker lists on a couple of private torrent sites, when i went over to get a look at the pal version he illegally downloaded, 5 days before its release. An estimation of course, and they admit it, and they admit the hardware specs were a factor. Wasn't expecting much (I didn't even buy Crysis after playing the demo), but that was pretty impressive -- lots of action, looks like a lot of fun.Velocitas8
Everything you saw in there you could do in the original Crysis.....
Crysis is only as good as the player wants it to be. You can play through it like a standard FPS, making it good, but no amazing. Or you can think of creative ways to fight through the game and play Crysis to the fullest.

I'll admit it did look pretty good. But it's not like it couldn't have been done in the original.mo0ksi
Warhead is supposed to be a much more efficient game, so gamers will get even better performance out of it than they did with the original.
More killing Korean soldiers, less aliens, kthx

it was the casuals who hated those bits. Games don't have to be none stop testosterone BS all the way through you know.
I read in a magazine (Forget which) that Crytek demoed Warhead on a run of the mill 2GB 8600 GT, duel core processor PC that cost around $600 bucks and it ran as smooth as butter with "all the bells and whistles turned on" I dont recall the if they stated the exact settings, but that's what I do remember the article saying.
and that video is amazing, Crysis truly is beautiful looking.

...Holy crap, are you SERIOUS? If you hate the act of going from big, open-eneded levels to confined, linear paths filled with aliens attempting to be scary then that makes you casual? I hope you're just trying to be funny, because I can scouringe up literally 50 posts saying how the game went to hell the isntant the aliens, just like Far Cry did with the Trigens.

I won't say I hate it, but I don't like the alien parts as much as the open ended levels, same goes for Far Cry.
