I stopped renting after the SNES era. Now I buy and own my games. Still remember my local mom and pop shop and renting FF3 USA and all those terrible NES games like skate or die. I like to support the developers these days for my favorites and never want to go back to renting.

An actual developer would never sweat a $10 price increase. That is literal pocket change for anyone who makes even decent money. I bet Poordro has never seen a comma in his bank account before lol.

I am all in on Game Pass but never claim to purchase Returnal at launch. I got those two games on June 10th.

I am developer. I never bragged about $1 GamePass trials. You are not wise if you think developers don't enjoy services like Game Pass.

Apparently its our job to be babysitters to the games industry.

Imagine talking about "supporting" multi-billion/trillion dollar multinational corporations, as if you're supporting some charity food drive, for billion dollar publishers, and venture-cap/institutional investors.

These publishers are not some down-trodden, put-upon mom and pop operations, nor are they "little guys". You have to be so brainwashed to believe that. These developers and publishers are compensated hansomely for putting their games on GamePass, as all of them generally tend to atest to.

It is not my DUTY or my responsibility as a consumer to "support" a studio that is already being compensated by a billion dollar publisher. Fuckouttahere with that. That is the responsibility of that studio's publisher. You really think I care about "supporting" activision, or Ubisoft? Thats not my job. It is THEIR job to create a product or a service and render it to you for profit. Whether they're paid by me or by Microsoft, that's the end of that transaction and the end of responsibility from me.

If Sony cant afford to properly compensate its developers, or compete with GamePass, well.....thats Sony's problem. Sucks to suck. Not my job to keep Sony's lights on.
