Seems like it was low down on their to do list.Its an ok game for a quick game and all that but it didnt hold me like the others.They should have just done an actual re do of 1942 with a lot more maps and retail price and it would have held me more tbh.

If its anything like the ps3 version, which it should be and then some, it'll still be kicking. If you go on at awkward hours, its rather dead though.

BF 1943 on the consoles still has quite an active community. They are really late deciding to release this for PC and all.

To be fair they said their going to announce the PC features soon. So obviously its got some extra stuff going into it. For all we know, it could have 64+ players, large maps, extra vehicles, guns, DirectX 11 support. Or not....:P And i thought BF play for free was coming out Q1 2011?

i would get them in a second. bf43 may be my favorite adversarial shooter this gen.

there was something about the battlefield "lite" formula that was just right. maybe because it was easier to keep great game balance with the more limited class options.

my biggest problem with it was the squad size was only 4 ppl and it always seemed like i had 5 or 6 friends online wanting to play.

BF1943 with an excuslive beta code for bf3, just to get you to buy the game, and unlock excuslive content in bf3. What i have no clue, but its going to be super awsome, we aren't going to pull the same crap we pulled in bc2, this time we may make real mappacks and not just relase maps we had made whe the game launched for game modes no one plays.

We will have day one dlc, plus camo for your guns and kits for only 9.99 this time.

Rember buy the limited edition to get the exclusive early unlocks to piss off all your friends. With battlefield 3 we will try to fix the bugs that were in the beta and not let them stay for almost 1 year.

There better be some significant bonuses and upgrades since with BF3 in the horizon I have lost all interest in this game.

Maybe true on consoles (though the PS3 port of Oblivion was good, ME2 as well) but on PC if it's optimized and has PC-centric features then it'll be fine, seeing how Dice is handling this that will be the case.

What's up with the pretense that DICE matters? The company is owned by EA.

Bad Company wasn't released on PC because of a lack of resources, because the engine wasn't ready, because they were attempting to set up a console specific brand, because they didn't think PC gamers would latch onto a Battlefield with singleplayer and general tinyness. Etc. Who knows. Either way things have changed and now everything is everywhere.
