[QUOTE="PBSnipes"]But to be fair to Bungie and Bethesda, developers are still trying to figure out the best way to price microtransactions and DLC. For example while Horse Armour was a total rip-off, the other Oblivion DLC is a much better value (in fact I believe it sells for less). On the other hand EA is once again charging you for content that is already on the disk, rather than the extra content that the Halo 3 and Oblivion DLC is.

If you really want to be fair then you wouldnt be critisizing a company for experimenting with different payment methods when the game hasnt even hit the shelves yet. Maybe they should just offer the weapon models as a doownloadable package. Would that really be a huge difference for you?
I don't believe people should pay for any of the extra crap. Who knows how long microsoft and Bathesda had that content sitting around their offices before they decided to charge people for it? Whats the difference really? Nothing. I just don't believe things likemaps and additional models should be something companies use to leech extra funds out of their customers, but if console people are happy with that form of payment then why critisize one but not another? Microsoft always takes content that developers wanted to give away for free and tacks a price tag on it (gears of war), so if you arent going to complain about that, then why complain about this?
To be fair to Bungie, Microsoft decides on the price, and the MAPS BECOME FREE. Don't want to pay, DON't.
Bethesda also does make the content, I find it hard to believe they kept Shivering Isles locked up in their offices for a long time.
