EA- Mirrors Edge Will Not Be a Timed Exclusive

The PS3 will be continuously supplied with exclusive games: "We are continuously, month after month publish new titles that bring something unique and different target groups. In a month, it is Gran Turismo, in the next SingStar, as well as Third-Party Title as mirrors Edge by Electronic Arts are part of this strategy. " According to Reeves Mirrors Edge will initially exclusively for the PS3 this year. PC and Xbox 360 versions would follow much later.

EA however have declined this statement by the SCEE President with the following.....

Mirror's Edge will be shipping this winter on PS3, XBOX360 and PC. Mirror's Edge will not be a timed exclusive for PS3.

Good news, since, even though I have a PS3, this is the sort of title I would prefer to play on my PC.

Sony cant afford a timed exclusive seeing as the PS3 was such a financial disaster

on the plus side they're beginning to destroy the 360 in every territory sales wise so devs are beginning to take notice

Because it was so expensive to make I will agree, Sony has taken a huge beating for the past years due to price cuts, losing billions of dollars. I'm not exagerating,billions. It wasn't projected until August '08 that it would be profitable.Now that they are actually making money off of it, maybe now they can lock up some titles. Seems like they didn't do it with this one lol.

how can they get owned by something they never had???some peoples children. the game looks crappy anyways. a new spin on the first person genre and i like that they're trying to change things a bit. but it doesn't appeal to me so far.

not once have i ever hyped mirrors edge. i am no cow. it would only be ownage if they announced this a week or so before the cows "exclusive" launch. but this far from release, who cares. i stand by what i said earlier. mirrors edge looks like crap to ME. im not saying it wont appeal to the masses, but so far from what they've shown, I dont like it. ill dl and play the demo to give it an honest chance before i make my final decision. but atm if you asked ME if I wanted this game I would say no.

lol so true. but i was honestly more hyped for versus to begin with. the kingdom hearts team is working on that and KH is one of my fav series. seriously i baught a psp just so ill be able to play kingdom hearts. 13 is still gonna kick butt tho, going multiplat actually might make it better i think. since 360 games all have to have achievments i hope they put in the trophies on ps3. that way ill have more to show for my efforts beating the hardest boss then some little badge in the game. this way everyone can see.

most people that have fueled all that hype arent even ff fans....theyre just fanboys...im both.

13 was a big loss but i havent disowned it....i just prefer nomura so VS looks better to me.
