EA says Crysis 2 will be a Halo Killer... really EA?

I mean really EA, just stop wth all trying to piggyback off of Reaches hype. I realy do not like when developers/publishers try to compare there game to another, it already gives the impression that the other developers game is as good or better, buy just saying oh were going to try and be better than X game. Honestly its just a bunch of PR garbage,

and the whole Crysis 2 thing is getting out of hand witht the whole trash talking thing, i have yet to see any multiplayer gameplay, and or campaign gameplay. Im sure they will show it at E3 but all this talk and no videos, all weve seen are trailers. Supposodely the guys taht worked on Timesplitters are supposed to be doing toe multiplayer part of Crysis 2 but Honestly show some real actual gamplay and stop talking out of your ass EA jsut focus on your game and your game alone. I wonder Why Killzone 2 was more succesful than the 1st one...hmmm maybe becasue it didnt outright compare itself to halo and focused on its own strengths and merits. I dont even see why everybody would want there game to play like Halo either, its fun but far from perfect. Ea needs to now put its money were its mouth is, theyve prettymuch dug themselves a big Hole, every game that compares itself to halo fails.

There obviously isn't a chance in hell that Crysis 2 will exceed Halo popularity, although if my experience with Combat Evolved is anything to go by, I'd say that Crytek can handle first-person shooter gameplay in a way that Bungie isn't capable of even comprehending. And that's why I'm looking forward to Crysis 2 more than I've done for any Halo game in history.

Isn't Reach the last Halo game? Seems like it's dying on its own if that's the case. EA has the benefit of not having to compete with it going forward I guess.

Thats my point hough, EA is already making there game sound inferior buy saying "were going to try and make a Halo-Killer" its either do or do not, or GTFO and focus on your own game and its strengths. thats my point. Every game taht says its going to beat Halo sets itsself for faliure. They better bring the pringles to E3 becasue so far it seems like i will have to pay to play a demo, and i see no beta test for the multiplayer for crysis 2.

I suspect the guys at Crytek couldn't give two hoots about Halo. The Halo series' position is assured as one of the top modern console shooters, so it's near enough untouchable even if Crysis 2 beats the pants off it by any measure.

EA are just going for some cheap publicity by comparing their game to one that console players know well.

I am partial to Halo, I consider it to be one of the greatest FPS series ever made, and I do wag my finger at EA's cockiness and audacity, but from what I have seen of Crysis 2, they may yet make one of the most spectacular games ever made.They graphics so far seen to put all other games in the dust. Gameplay aspects are still fuzzy for me, but I have heard that there are destructable environments, and extreme sandboxing, and from my own experience with Crysis: Warhead, gameplay should be amazing. And they have promised to deliver a great fantastic story, and the cocky writer that they have brought on board does have credentials to back up making a good plot. I expect amazing things fom Crysis 2. I also expect great things from Halo: Reach, but I still think that Crysis 2 will be better, not overshadowingly so, but better overall.

Let EA say what they want, but Crysis was better then any Halo game so far this gen so who knows.

Probably wont sell as much as Halo but there is a good chance it will have a heck of a better campaign, graphics, AI and gameplay, while Halo Reach will have better online.

halo is a POP arcadey shooter. its fun to hard core players and its also noob friendly. there is room for more fps multiplayer games than halo. if you are talking quality halo has been killed (kz2). if you are taling sales halo has been killed (mw2) if you are talking popularity halo can not be killed. its the mcdonald's of shooters.
