Yeah, that reasoning is still bullshit all the same EA. New tech probably has sacrifices, but not like THAT.

Let's not pretend that anybody here actually cares about the Sims 4. This is just going to be a reason to continue bashing EA.

Let's be real guys. Adding pools would take months and thousands of additional animations. It's just too much of a workload.

And they need to save something for DLC.

i'm not really worried about the sims 4's pricing and content for too many reasons to get in to here.

Well I will probably pick up and enjoy Sims 4 (Shame) but it still wont suprise me when they ask for me to fork out cash for.

----

Sims 4 Pools party: With pools! (Abillity to delete the only entrance to the pool sold as a premium purchase per deletion) or maybe these new "Locomotion" mechanics will make sims able to exit swimming pools somewhere other than the ladder especially if I decide to delete it.

Sims 4 Toddler terror!: Enjoy the crippling responsibillity of child care, only available with the power of the cloud (Children require complex algorithyms to initiate crying, walking, or higher brain functions) While you can play without the cloud features enabled the children will then only act as a permanent negative slot on the nearest couch to any television, adding stress to your parent sim because they never get to watch what they want to.

----

Of course like all the other DLC packs for the previous sims games...I'll ignore their existence until I get them for damn near free.

Real reason is its going to come as DLC. 100 bucks says its already ready and just sitting on the sideline for a DLC pack to come out a few months after Sims 4 due to "high demand". Pointless PR BS is pointless.

Pools and such have been in The Sims since the very first 2D game.

This mega company with all their resources and technology couldn't work out a way to put them into the game?

I just don't buy it.

That excuse wreaks of bullshit (aka pure PR speak), they're being omitted for one reason only, more money, just like they did in the Sims 2 and 3 with weather, pets etc.

Cant believe they're removing a lot of key features in this game. it's 2014 now and still no sims online. EA is working backwards with this old IP and I don't see the point of developing it. The graphic is so weak looking as if it's last gen. They don't seem to be taking full advantage of the pc and consoles GPU power. If they removing all these features might as well beef up the graphics and make it look realistic this way it can make up for it and allow first person view option. It will enhance the experience at least.

Haven't played a Sims game since 2. Nevertheless, how dumb do they take us for? This is just insulting. I'm sure this "tech" preventing Maxis from including pools and toddlers being included in the base game will have no trouble incorporating them in the DLC.

What a pathetic excuse of a company.

*puts on Ahrnold voice*

BULLSHIT!

I'll give the game a month of release and they'll magically discover a workaround that lets them release the content as a $60 expansion pack.

Let's not pretend that There isn't people here that care about Sims 4. If this was any other game you'd probably start singing a different tune. Heck this is almost the same thing EA pulled for the Battlefield Franchise for making Battlefield 3 having less destructible buildings than Bad Company 2.

If they would release absent content as Free-LC, they could make amends. This is EA we're dealing with, though, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

I've been a big fan of the Sims since the first game, but since Sim City, been avoiding EA where possible like the plague. Will be skipping this title unfortunately too.

I think what they are trying to say is they have remade the game from the ground up and don't have enough time to put all the features back in... which is fair enough. But there is a certain expectation with any sequel, they should delay the game and put the core features back in and only then release it, unless they are going to patch it later for free.

PR: We are trying to convince shareholders to hang on to their stocks when they are only thinking of when to sell their shares for other suckers to buy.

My wife really wants this game. I have been trying to convince her to just stick with The Sims 3, but I will probably end up buying it, unfortunately. Crap like this just makes me hate EA so much.

The first expansion will probably add pools and toddlers...

That's why I abandoned the series with The Sims 2. To much milking. At some point you basically have to buy the exact same expansions you bought for the previous game.

Patch? Free? EA? LMAO.

EA is gunning for the worst company three years in a row it looks like. Congrats for them they deserve it. Fucking scum of the gaming industry.

Uh... no. They only got it twice in a row and got knocked out in the recent one.

Why the hell did they even bother to make a sims game then? sounds like a crappy game. I had enough of EA and their bs over the years. I use to be a big fan of the sims but not anymore.

the add on content won't already be written guys. they've got a whole team employed.

people out there earn money in dribbles.

so they're paying people in dribbles to release a dribble of content.

would there be some content already on the disc? well probably and that would keep them just as bad as a few, including xbox 360 exclusives.

This statement will probably be about as factual as Sim City needing a persistent online connection to properly function.
