Early Adopters, You Mad?

Dead Space 2 is already down to forty-one dollars

It's only been out for, what, a week? And it's dropped that significantly in price. Nearly twenty bucks. And check all the sellers. They all have it's price dropped, not just Amazon. This is any everwhere thing.

So, how about it day1, 2, 3, or whenever early adopters. You Mad?

i dont buy games for full price anymore for same reason especially if they are SP only. Most games are less then half price within 2-4 months of release.

I don't seem to be able to find a cheap download of it anywhere :? luckily Im not in any hurry, but I have seen the console versions have come down lower than the PC version.

He is, and his sarcasm fails big time. Saving 20 bucks after a week isn't comparable to saving 55 or more after 2 years.

I got my copy for $20 and I pre-ordered it from Amazon (had a $20 gift card). If I remember correctly, it was also knocked down $20 before it was released. I think this is just an Amazon sale.

I just check several major retailers, and they are all still priced at $60. I know it's an EA game (which goes down in price fast), but it's still too soon. The only other one I saw knocked down was Toys R Us by $13, but that sale ends today as well.

Am I the only one that finds it odd the TC is getting some sort of sick pleasure on the idea that some people lost $20?

In general you get a subpar launch line-up, potential systematic faults, high price, larger, louder, more power consumptive hardware.

What is the point of this thread? That you NEVER buy games day 1, or are you just singling out Dead Space 2? It's not exactly newsworthy that video games drop in price over time, sometimes rather abruptly. You can pretty much count on EA games being $19.99 after about 6 months - you can make this same thread for practically every single game regardless of publisher. Honestly who cares though?

I almost bought this game (cancelled pre-order) and it wouldn't have bothered me if it dropped to $20. Just like with any other game I pre-order or get early, I know I *could* have saved myself a little money by waiting. But if I want the game enough I'll just get it, it really depends on how much I'm looking forward to it and if I have a backlog of other games to finish.
