YOu never ever judge a game until its finished. I've heard way too much BS about Forza 2 and Mass effect. These games are not even optimized yet, which the DEVELOPERS of the games have said time and time again, yet it's used for damage control. We should of judged God of War 2 6 months before it's release. It's ridiculous and just plain idiotic.
This is system wars, do you think there is logic in here? Everyone will take anything they can get a put a bad spin on it. People know these things, but get a kick out of people like you who freak out. It's the way of the system wars...which is why I still wonder why I hang around here when I'm 24 years old. :(

Yeah, I wonder what that Killzone 2 footage looked like at GDC? If it was optimized (read: presentable) don't you think it would be all over the internet by now? No, of couse it looked bad. It's not done yet. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Sony fans (who are the only ones doubting Mass Effect out of bitterness.) And Halo 3 is another great example. When most established devs make games, they do nuts and bolts stuff 1st, then put the polish on last. This is clear when looking at most of the released material for Halo 3. The geometry is in place, but texture passes, lighting, bump mapping, anti aliasing etc. are all absent. Happened to shadowrun too at E3 last year. People are just reaching because they are sad that they won't get to play such a terrific game.

You make a good point. But then again, PS3 fans were claiming the MGS4 textures looked amazing, when they clearly looked terrible, no one is claiming the new ME screens look good.
