Easter Eggs are seriously Lacking this Gen

with this Generation being dominated by FPS, it's understandable since many FPS dont really support easter eggs. But seriously most easter eggs this gen are from open world games only; just cause 2, rockstar games, infamous 2, etc...with the exception of MGS 4 since that whole series is about easter eggs. Seems like developers are just going after Cash and DLC. details and hiddens arent the thing anymore.

Isn't there tons of easter eggs in CoD games? Mainly the ones with zombies?

I was wondering the same thing. This gen has become far more realistic and that is why we are seeing less easter eggs and cheat codes. But I like realistic. There is a reason no one is interested in the new NFL Blitz.

yea go to Gamefaqs and search any PS2 game and they're filled with cheats and easter eggs. Now search PS360 games for cheats and all that pops up are Trophy/ Achievments

Quite a few in GTA IV :P

BAWSAQ is one you instantly get if your Scottish.The heart inside the statue etc.

Don't know what's happening with Crapcom this gen but they are surprising me in a really bad way.

Saints Row The Third is also guilty of this. What's worst with this one though is it says it gives invincibility and infinite ammo but in game there's upgrade that makes you immune to bullet/fire/fall/explosion damage making you invincible without the need of cheats. Same with infinite ammo, there's upgrade for each type of guns that give infinite ammo.

I think the best easter eggs in a recent game were in Just Cause 2. There are so many things in that game (like the dead whale washed up on shore and getting to blow it up).
