[QUOTE="110million"][QUOTE="Guppy507"]And yet, none of that is as ridiculous as Goldeneye getting an 8/10.Guppy507
Eh, I love Goldeneye Wii, play it with friends locally and everything, I'm not sure if you're saying thats too high or too low, but I'd say its just right. The single player is a little bizzare with it being Daniel Craig and all. Ultimately its not like its some brand new game. For a "remake" of sorts, I think it deserves it. I think an 8/10 is much too high of a score. I hated the 5-6 or so hours of that game I played before I gave up on it and put it on the shelf, where it will remain until my house burns down, or something equally as tragic.I noticed in your blog that you found there was alot of issues with the controls. If you're interested in giving it another shot(with wii controsl), here's a great control scheme i found in the forums that is just beautiful!
Go to the Wii's controller settings on the GoldenEye menu, and click Customize.
Go into cursor settings and do the following;
Set the deadzone to 17 above, 37 across.
Set the maximum turn to 100 (which is default)
Set the horizontal speed to 50
Set the verticle speed to 10
Set the cursor sensitivity to 20 *blahzor edit! max works great too!
Now go into the ADS options, and do the following;
Set the deadzone to 17 above, 17 across.
Set the maximum turn to 90 above, 90 across.
Set the horizontal speed to 15 *I prefer 20
Set the verticle speed to 10
Set the cursor sensitivity to MAXIMUM.
Now exit those options, and set the camera to; Wii Remote Turning, and turn 'Look' OFF.
Have the Auto re-centre and Turn while cursor off-screen settings ON.
Credit goes to malcom_wb on the goldeneye wii forums here at gamespot. I found his settings to work extremely well for me.
Personally, i think goldeneye wii is fantastic. Sure its online is a weaker version of a CoD game.. but it's splitscreen and campaign are incredible! most fun i've had in a FPS campaign since CoD4.
