EGM Scores Uncharted.. 8.5.. Not far behind Mass Effect at 9.0!! Thoughts

BLeh, the dreaded boring 8.5 score. Dont get me wrong, its a great score but just a boring score lol. But ill take it, the demo was awesome. This game must be really awesome for EGM to score this game that good. By the way, its not too far behind Mass effect, mass effect was 9.0 on EGM, so WOW Uncharted must be something special.. Discuss.

I just read the headline at N4g it said Uncharted 8.5 and Mass effect 9.0. The way most people judge EGM reviews is which ever score has the most. For example if it has 2 scores of 9.0 and one score of 9.5 they go with majority so yea, whichever way you look at it. Still great score Uncharted, it shows its atleast in same league as Mass effect

.5 difference, eh.... only fanboys will cry about it. Still, Uncharted is going to be a sweet game. Wheather AA or AAA, it will be a fun game to play and own for the PS3. :)

Hopefully Aaron doesn't review it...

I think it went exactly how most people projected. High AA for Uncharted, and AAA for Mass Effect. Though, I don't understand why you must keep saying it's in the same league as Mass Effect... They are different games, made by different developers, reviewed by different people. It looks like a good game, but I don't really understand what you're getting at saying that.

Meh; I'm not too fond of EGM, but nice to know both games scored pretty well. Hopefully both games will enjoy a great Holiday '07, amidst all these other great games. Cerberus_Legion

They were spot on with Lair though. However, the way they put it made them sound like MS fanboys. Still, I don't like their reviews nor their editorials. I perfer GameInformer's editorials.

for how they're hyped i have a feeling mass effect will dissapoint many gamers whearas uncharted will meeet the reaslistic expectationsof it.

unless you're really interested in wester sci-fi and the idea of space exploration, let's be honest here it'd be unlikely that you'd really feel like you're traversing through the vastness of space and really exploring planets. There's no way bioware would be able to have even one really densely populated futurist city in ME. Those who are realistic will know what they're getting is random locations on various planets. these locations will probably be recycled every now and then, but the missions will be different.

You compare a vast RPG, with complex 50 hour gameplay, exploration of 100 different planets with a boring at leats for me shooter, set in tiny small levels ? I garee it looks amazing, but apart from that, Drake is nothing for me comparing to Mass Effect

And 9 is AAA, 8.5 is AA
