Let's see, No Man's Sky is timely on PS4 and Elite: Dangerous is timely on Xbox One. I say that they are both even.

Both games are nothing special.

Elite is missing a ton of features to add some excitment to it's universe. Powerplay is a nice first step but needs more structred content, not more fucking random generation for planets with nothing in them.

NMS has more variety but it's still the same shit, expect that the space ship element seems hyper boring.

A game with no objective? Sounds like Minecraft. Who owns that now? Oh right.

Both are meh... Elite Dangerous will get better next year once its major expansions are out. Too bad they are charging for expansions, even though those features should've been in the game from the beginning.

Interplay hinted at Freespace 3 back in 2013 but still no news about that. I've no hope though... Don't think they have enough resources to make/publish another AAA Freespace game even though Volition wants to make one.
