Agreed, I'm as hardcore as it gets (well nearly) , and I would welcome this, I can see the benfits of general "Improve yourself" games.

Hey Nintendo is trying to be a positive influence, I respect them for that.

Wii Fit is the greatest idea ever, who needs slim fast or weight watchers. Have fun losing weight playing Wii Fit!

But, Nintendo just doesn't appeal to me, I wish them the best of luck.

Suffice to say a lot of people are narrow minded about new gaming innovations. When people saw the Wii and the controller for the first time what it is capable of, it should have clicked in then that Nintendo is trying to push new ideas for gaming. While these sorts of games may be odd, they are still good if you are looking forlifestyle change without having to break the bank to workout at a gym. You know it has been proven that spending hours a day at a gym working out will not help you lose weight any faster then if you were to buy some exercise equipment for use at home that is a lot cheaper. I myself fall into the category of people who are trying to improve themselves by losing weight, I am above the ideal weight for someone my age and stature by about 25 pounds, just through doing simple workout routines and jogging as well as a diet change, I lost 10 in a month just by jogging and doing cardio 3 times a week. So what makes playing a video game any different for me, because I love to play games and I am trying to lose weight, so I welcome trying out something new like Wii Fit and I am sure there are more people out there like me who do as well.

If I want to exercise I'll bloody play soccer outside, if I want to write something I'll work on my thesis, if I want to read something I pick up Lovecraft or something worthwhile, if I want to do math I'll go to my Calculus class. Now if I want to shoot someone, thats when I play a video game.Vandalvideo
