Do we have a new technical graphics KING?

Damn... I wish it looked like that when I played it, lol. I have to run the game on a mix of low-medium.
On a technical graphics level, Empire: TotalWar.
Crysis (2007) still looks better then any game out there, But the new technical King goes to Empire you can have a scale of 4,000 units on a Screen at the same time and still look Fantastic as it does thats just.. Nothing beats it.:P
(Though looking great with an Epic Scale Battles with Thousands of Units is nothing new with TotalWar Games. )

Lets not forget that graphics mods will start coming out....On a technical graphics level, Empire: TotalWar.

With the released SDK you can make anything out of Empire....500.000 soldiers battle here I comee....but I was talking about teh vanilla game....Crysis, because in sandbox editor you can make something similar to ETW but you cant make something similar to Crysis in ETW

maybe Empire in term of pure technical.
but they are not very comparable, I'm waiting for a FPS to surpass Crysis in graphics.
that's what people only care about when they mention graphics anyways.
You have never seen the game being played. Total War games will have full regiments all with different animations. If you zoom down onto the field, individual troops are fighting eachother. All of those 4k troops have their own animations It is really impressive. Supreme Commander more impressive? No way.Crysis.
What's the big deal with 4000 units? Total Annihilation had them in 1998.
Supreme Commander is more impressive than Empire.

So did Rome's and Medieval's troops.
It's a pity they scrapped the DX10 renderer for SupCom.
By the way, have they added proper dual and quad-core support in the released version of Empire? The demo used only one core, despite what Task Manager said. I haven't entered the forums since then, some modder promised he would make an affinity mod if CA is lazy.
Total War games are some of the best looking and adictive games ever made. I'm replaying Rome, I doubt my PC could handle this, but it's still tempting to see what the new gameplays like. Chances are this game with the max number of troops without modification would look epic beyond reason.
I don't think an FPS should be compared to a RTS in graphics terms, very different design and resource management.
Both games are Epic. I am yet to play Empire Total War. My 8800 GTS (g92) should easily support it :).
Regarding graphics: it seems to have a small flaw which is even fair for a game like this. When you zoom in then most of the soldiers look same. It looks like an army of clones. They should have added more random variety in facial features. Hopefully mods will change that.
After playing 8 straight hours of Empire, I still think Crysis is the king, all things considered. I've actually found that Empire is more demanding on my CPU than on my GPU, which goes along with the idea that it's technically impressive (more so than Crysis), but it isn't as graphically impressive as Crysis. Empire looks beautiful, but I don't think it can unseat Crysis.
Crysis, crysis, crysis, crysis... Empire Total War is not technically more impressive than crysis or any other game. It's just a bad looking game with overblown draw distance and everything looks good from a distance. Dont take me wrong it does looks great but its nothing impressive or new.
