I've yet to see any game on the Wii match any of the best xbox 1 games when it cost to graphics. EX Doom 3, Conker: Live & Reloaded, and Chaos Theory. One that would come close is SMS.
At least someone is pushing the Wii's limit (a little bit).

Assuming the game runs and looks just as well,if not,better than the original version. Chances are,it may look and run worse than the original,which wouldn't help as evidence for the Wii's sake. Not to mention the fact that the topic has to be debated to begin with.

Lol wut, the game looks ok, but Riddick and Doom look a lot better especially the lighting and shadows in Riddick. This looks more on a par with Fable. No The wii's GPU is stronger than the Xbox's GPU. The only thing stopping the wii from having better looking games from being released is the Wii's TEV shaders. The TEV shaders is something most developers don't know how to code for and because of this they don't bother trying. Its not harder to code for either, but they are too lazy to try. In reality TEV shaders can do the exact same thing as standard shaders. The GC TEV shaders could produce the equivolent of a pixel shader 2.0 (xbox used that) and the wii can produce the equivolent of pixel shader 3.0 (DX9), you just have to go about doing it a different way than the standard shaders the xbox uses.
The Wii used OpenGL as its graphic API. Mario Galaxy showed perfectly the potential of the wii's TEV shaders. Everything had a bumpmap, I mean EVERYTHING!!!! If the devs arent lazy and actually try to program for the wii's TEV shaders then the game will look just like the original if not better. Also on a side note the GC was slightly stronger than the xbox.
Besides having a just as capable GPU, it also had a significantly faster CPU. The GC's CPU was a 450mhz powerPC, and the xbox had a 730mhz intel 3. The GC's PowerPC acted like a 800mhz intel 3 with short pipelines (thats a good thing). The xbox's intel 3 had long pipelines (bad). Yes teh GC was stronger than the xbox 1. Deal with it. The Wii's CPU is equal to a 1.1-1.3ghz intel 3-S or a 1ghz Intel p4 willamette. Ive seen homebrew games that look better than some of the junk real 3rd party devs release for the wii. So if the GC>Xbox1 then the Wii>>>>Xbox1.

Why is this exciting? Its a port of a mediocre last generation game that wasn't any good to begin with. And when you compare these visuals with current generation standards its just plain embarrassing. Please, please tell me that sheep aren't hyping this. There are much better games to look forward to.

Youre plain making things up. Heck you dont even know that PIII CPUs are faster per mhz than a P4.The GPU itself is just a faster version of what we saw in the GC. But again, whats your proof, RE4? The XBOX had some of the best looking games out on the system.

Mr Expert, IM not the one whos fallen for the mhz myth, its YOU. The self-ownage here is funny because YOU are the one whos claiming P4 chips are automatically better than PIII simply down to higher rates.
In fact if you even had basic education in whats been happening in the hardware market, Intel ditched the P4 design for that very reason, they were trying to achieve high clock rates when it was meaningless.
That is the very reason why they went back to an OLDER design for their Conroe chip, might i remind you what that is? Please if you are illeterate on a subject, dont say anything, but if you want you can go celebrate a 6 year old game coming to the Wii:roll:
