[QUOTE="LordDhampire"][QUOTE="TAKE_IT_BACK"][QUOTE="cobrax75"][QUOTE="spidadragon1"]I've never play RTS but the controls are so straightforward and simple, I didn't do the tutorial or anything I just jumped right into a mission and figured it out myself, its so satisfying when you can call a unit to do something and leave it alone and you know a task is being completed.
I guess I'm going to add another game to my holiday list.
TAKE_IT_BACK
and that explains everything...
the game is shallow.
Just because a game is accessible doesn't mean its shallow.
I think RTS shouldn't be just put in and play, they should require a little tutorial
That may be true in this case, but in most genres, being able to pick up and play is a good thing.
RTS games thrive off of being slightly more complicated, to get as much tacticalvariation in as they can. Something like Endwar will be a good introduction to the Genre, people who enjoy this might the pick up Red Alert 3 in November, or Halo Wars next year.
