Yes, Valorant is not an epic exclusive, they are using the same separate launcher as league.

Also I doubt Epic would be able to lure them over with cash, considering they are Riot Games and have League.

Riot Games was majority-acquired by Tencent and Tencent owns 40% of Epic Games.

I don't know what that guy wrote is a joke or for real but this guy is definitely not a scammer. I watched his non-game related videos some long time ago.

Read up a little on this thing. Looks like your standard Kernel driver solution used by other anti-cheats - Riot simply tried to get ahead of the cheaters by having it run on startup.

Sounds easy to bypass. A few edits of some text files, and bam, driver no longer runs.

Or just not install it at all, accepting such things in the first place.

Would be pretty hard. As I said, lots of other anti-cheats use the same Kernel driver solution, and they come pre-packaged with many PvP focused games. The only real difference here is that instead of starting when you run the game, it runs on startup.

I think things like this are irresponsible on the part of devs, especially when it comes to copy protection. You end up introducing more serious issues that affect your PCs stability.

Personally this would be a non-starter for me and I would opt not to play the game.

I'm sure people are still cheating in game as well.

With or without that malware anti-cheat this game is a piss poor copy of CS:GO.

How is this a bad thing though when CSGO is umpteen years old?

I'm interested in the game for mixing in magic abilities tho, I was a big fan of the shadowrun fps that game pulled it off. The only thing CS about this title imo is buying your equipment.

I guess I'm the same. CSGO was aimed at Esports and it just wasn't my thing, I'm more of the casual FPS player (that does take things seriously at times). I'm a bigger fan of 1.6 and Source too.

In that rare Gabe Newell interview with IGN we got recently they showed us CSGO running on Source 2 and it looked spectacular. I'd like to see more tradional FPS games by Valve.
