people still believe this sh!t? anything done will NOT be noticed..and even if it does, something else will take a serious hit. either graphics or performance to make up for it. YES smarter and better tools/coding works but it can't be pushed that far to what they keep implying..just more marketing crap if anything.

lol even if you could squeeze another 1 or 2% performance the 512mb of memory for system and video says no we have been maxed out since 2007

isnt the case...screenshots are almost always AA touched up for presentation..on screen there are more jags.

My screenshots are direct feed.

I think the game is using FXAA of some sort.

You can still notice jagged edges and there is blur which is most likely caused by FXAA.

Well, my uncle (but age-wise, he's more like a big brother to me), started internet shopping business through eBay, and most of the customers are from overseas (in fact we don't send the products to Korea), and all the customer inquiries and promotional pages have to be made it into English, so that's where I come in. I'm still learning on the customer service (99% through eBay PM system, so it's just writing mails, which is no angry customer yelling, so it's actually not that bad), but I did start translating the promotional pages into English, and basically what that is me fooling around on Photoshop for 7-8 hours a day, like when I make my sig. So yeah, I actually am pretty cool with this. It's more like family-helping plus part-time job (I was going to do it for free, but he kinda insisted), but still, yeah. I get around $1000 a month for this plus $350 tutoring this kid. And I got around additional $1000 from new year's holiday allowances (Koreans give money to younger relatives during New Year, and I have a lot of relatives), so I just need to get myself up and buy it. I just don't want to buy the memory card new, because there is no way in hell I'm giving my money to Sony for that bullcrap, so once I sort that out and stuff, something will happen and I will be enjoying my P4G.

That's a sweet deal. Keeping yourself busy and making some(a lot, actually) money in the meantime. That's always nice. And yeah, fvck those memory card prices. They are beyond insane.

You can never max out any hardware, there is always room for improvement. If some of the best studios got together and invested $200 Million they could easily produce a new grahipcs king for Super Nintendo. But that's totally irrelevant. You need to understand that even if you can improve something infinitely it can still be limited. Mathematically this is illustrated by the function f(x) = 1-1/x. As x goes to infinity the value of the function increases. However it never reaches one! /End nerd-rant

The consistancy in graphics is certainly a lot better than it was early on. Most developers know how to use the system well and are using engines better optimised for the platform. I remember early on when you had big budget games with terrible frame rates and v-sync problems like Rainbow Six Vegas and Mass Effect. Oblivion to Skyrim, ME/ME2 to ME3 or Halo 3/Reach to Halo 4 are good examples of how much better devs can use the system now.
