Best RPG? Ya, I think so...the game is excellent. The combat system is a lot of fun. Though, Persona 3 is pretty good too. Both have pushed JRPGs a little bit further.
How can you say it has no competition? Mass Effect, Persona 3 and I believe The Witcher scored the same. I'm having a blast with Eternal Sonata though, if Mass Effect isn't as good as it, I'd definetly choose it for RPG GOTY
