That's a great score considering it's Eurogamer and the kind of game it is.

7/10 is a great score on Eurogamer's scale. At Eurogamer, a 5/10 is average.

That's actually a lot more than I expected. Glad to see that Nintendo actually put some effort into making it a game on it's own instead of a 2/10 cash-in. Also Edge and Eurogamer are the only reviewers that ACTUALLY use the 1-10 scale properly. Where 5/10 = 50% = average and not 7-8/10.

It's one of those games it does not really matter what it scores. You still want to get it. I loved Wii sports and can't wait to get the sequel.

Wii Music was a solid game. Just because it didn't appeal to YOU or the general core market(it wasn't suppose to) - doesn't mean its crap.

Keeping trying to spread that myth and maybe someone will believe it.

Gamespot

Average Review Ratio 67.25%

IGN

Average Review Ratio 68.46%

Edge

Average Review Ratio 63.33%

Doesn't that just mean that those are the average scores handed out by these websites? What I gather from these scores is that the games rated by these websites are above average. 5/10 on Eurogamer does in fact mean that, in the eyes of Eurogamer, the game is average.

Oh i'm sorry that they gave you a game Wii fans asked for since Shiggy demo'd it 3 years ago, packed it with 60 instruments, various nintendo themes, Wifi connectivity, and i'm sorry it got a 6.5 from GSpot, 9 from 1up, 5 from ign i think, therefore its a decent average game.

Wii music was fun, for what it was. I played it and enjoyed it on a good rental. not bad at all.

I still can't understand the hate for this game. Ok, in other rhythm games, like GH, when you do poorly you fail the song, star over

In Wii music, it keeps playing the music for you, but if you miss too many notes, you fail the song, but just don't get kicked out of the song, you're told at the end

Its the same thing. And you can't flail the wiimote around to get the notes right, press + and the notes you're suppose to hit appear on screen and you're basically playing the music to a track like GH.

I think Wii Music is the most miunderstood game this generation.

Nope, the myth is that Eurogamer and Edge use the "whole scale" correctly, instead of other sites that use 7-8. If this were true, their average would be much closer to 50% not within 5% of other sites using the same scale (1-10). The fact is, 5/10 is average or mediocre for everyone that uses the scale, not just those two and this is simply an excuse to explain their erratic scoring of games. The fans of these publications love to point out how critical they are of games, but tend to ignore when they are generous with the score.

On what planet is a 5/10 considered AVERAGE? That is clearly below average. Anyone who thinks otherwise is really kidding themselves. Way to crush this myth alumni.

Nintendo puts a good amount of effort into all their games :? its third parties that are known for shovel ware.

wii fit, wii play, smooth moves, and new mario wii beg to differ. the last 2 are DS games put on the wii to give the wii a game this holiday. nintendo has gotten so lazy its porting gamecube games to the wii with wii controls. they are basically knocking on the door and when you answer it they piss on your foot.

4 games out of all the games Nintendo has developed and produced? 3 of those 4 games you listed scored above 80% as well.

Wii Music. Nuff said

Nah. Wii music is pretty solid. The game is more of a toy than a game, but it is loaded with content and it's a great introduction to many types of instruments, especially for kids.

I can understand how it may not appeal to everyone, especially those looking for a 'game', but it can quite entertaining for a kid just wanting to have fun with music.

In regards to the review, it's actually quite positive. I'm surprised he ended up giving it a 7. I think most likely it's the lack of depth of the entire package, which is expected. If it's $50 with the add-on, it's adefinite buy.
