Some look not as good IMO

0:35 walls on PS4 seem to be missing a texture later

0:42 the 3 white marbles lose some of its sheen.

Anyway, PS4 LoD/draw looks better at 1:04

Seems a window reflection is missing at 1:59 + on the PS4.

Textures on the building/cement skeleton are different at 1:16

Dome below the ground at 1:35 has some sheen w/c the PS3 don't have (alpha/normal?)

extra foliage on the PS4 on the 1st window to the left at 1:40

Different asset at lower left @ 1:51 (ledge/window cover)? Maybe just lod

still nice for someone that never played an uncharted game, like a lot of x360 owners that went sony this gen.

Honestly though, it's mostly just uncompressed existing assets and textures. Yeah they increased the LoD and draw distance, and I think people are confusing the missing assets on the PlayStation 3 with the fact that they are there but they do not see them because the draw distance on those assets is not allowing them to be rendered, they're too far away.

Agreed. Maybe I can snag this from someone as a Birthday or Christmas gift, but I am not spending my money on this or Gears.

Yeah and I'm a bit weirded out that some texture work looks better on the PS3 still. Maybe even missing a layer of texture like there again at 2:31 floor tiles. I prefer the PS3's.

The lighting looks a bit more natural but I prefer the more vibrant look of the PS3 version.

I can live without multiplayer, I just wish the games allowed single player access the damn team and co-op levels. The data's on the disc anyway, so just let me play with it, server or no server.

After watching the video I see no reason to buy them again.

Of course it'll be good, it's Bluepoint. I'm just hoping some of the less savory differences are only because this is a beta build.

No multiplayer mode included, and just a minor visual overhaul (yes, I understand the technology behind it is impressive, yada yada. I don't care, the end result isn't worth it to me). It's objectively not worth full price.

I will be getting it because I really like Uncharted, but this is a pretty low key remaster.

This gen is so lolz. Nothing to play? That's OK, just buy the same old games from last gen but with shinier textures!! Oh but wait, I thought console peasants didn't care about textures and pixels n what not.

No, in fact reworking the assets and making sure the games are 1080/60 is the bare minimum of a remaster.

Many a games released this gen claiming to be a remaster, yet they barely showed any differences.

From what I've seen this gen only Microsoft has actually remastered games to the point where they could essentially be considered remakes, from the ground up overhauls, not touch ups like Sony is pounding out left and right.

Touch ups are remasters. Last of US and Uncharted Collection are as close as one can get to what a remaster is. They keep the original intact without altering what it was, while bringing it up to speed on current tech. Revamping geometry would require changes to the game and could bring (more)bugs to the table. Also, simply adding a much higher resolution texture here and there doesn't always improve things.

That's true. Nothing is inherently wrong with remasters. Consumers have choices. They don't have to purchase anything again but it does give someone the option to play games they missed. Not sure why SW is so against that.

On the other hand......I can't see why anyone would buy the same game over but some people do.

I didn't know that there was a vocal section of people who people who sucked so badly at real multiplayer games that they're upset that awful ones like Uncharted "multiplayer" isn't available.

To everyone upset go play some real multiplayer games, get good at the real ones instead of dragging down everything with pretend ones like in Uncharted.

The Final Fantasy 7 remake is a Square Enix game and it's not exclusive to the PlayStation 4. The Rachet and Clank game coming out in 2016 is a reboot, not a remake and not a remaster.

Yeah, maybe they should just remove the multiplayer entirely...

FFVII is PS4 exclusive until stated otherwise. The remake was decided because they wanted to boost PS4 sales so yeah and a reimaging is a remake in this instance.

Um well it has already been stated otherwise directly in the trailer, they specifically said "Play it first on PlayStation 4", it's not exclusive and it doesn't get more clear than that.

And then PC. Not like the Xbone will be able to run it anyway. Plus, no guns in first person.

To me it sounds like another Rise of the Tomb Raider as a timed PlayStation 4 exclusive out of Square, if that ends up being the case I can't wait to see how cows try to rationalize it when they've done nothing but bash Tomb Raider and Microsoft for a nearly identical situation.

TR always did and will do better on PlayStation so it was confirmed the moment MS announced that deal at Gamescom. Final Fantasy on the other hand also better on PS, a lot better. I doubt they'll lose any money at all downgrading the game for Xbox. It's not an online FPS so kids don't want to play it.
