Now that both the PS3 and Xbox360 are out I have come to the conclusion that console gaming here in EU has struggled and achieved to finally catch up the PC gaming in price.... When brand new console games cost: €58.99 http://play.com/Games/Xbox360/RNR/3-/3256643/Tom_Clancy_Ghost_Recon_Advanced_Warfighter_2/Product.html €61.99 http://play.com/Games/PlayStation3/RNR/3-/1022433/Call_Of_Duty_3/Product.html I have nothing else to do but wonder: WHere is the "cheaper" fairy tale? When Xbox360 costs €400 and the PS3 €600-€660 one has nothing left but to conclude that these are decietful devices designed to fool you into thinking that youve got a great deal but then milk the hell out of you afterwards... Whith brand new PC games like STALKER going at €28 http://www.play.com/Games/PC/RNR/3-/3324704/S_T_A_L_K_E_R_Shadow_of_Chernobyl/Product.html I have a great trouble to find it expensive...

ermm... everyone in the world has a pc.. obviously they will make games cheaper imagine 1 Bn ppl buy  1 game i dont want to calculate that but console gaming is for midclass in Europe every1 in that sector can afford it, As their Salaries vary between 500Eur-10.000Eur. Avg 3.000 Eur. Around 4.500$ isnt bad.

I mean guy who serves in a restaurant in italy gets around 4 gran. including tips.

PC games are cheaper than console games in North America, too (well, Wii games are the exception).

You get paid in pounds not in dollars. By that reasoning everyhting is more expensive in Europe since the Euro or Pound Sterling are worth more than dollars.

Normally, its not that much of a difference. We almost had to pay $540, waaaaay too much.

But I guess not to the ridiculus extent of 2:1 like here? But as my sig sais...consoles are a very clever decietful invention...

Countries need to prove that they matter in gaming to convince companies to reach to them.

Companies don't reach out to Europe like they do with the USA and Japan.

You think we wouldn't buy the games if they would release them like in the NTSC regions?

The USA hasn't recieved some European games. Besides if they look at you the same way why do they charge you more? Plus aren't you still waiting on Trauma Center: Second Opinion?

That's actualy not true. A lot of European Pc games are released only in Europe(not anywhere near the ammount of Japan games, but still a sizable and hurtful bunch). And a lot of those that are released in US suffer 6-12 months delay compared to EU launches

I approave this threrad. PC rules, consoles suck in comparison. If the PC had more variety in games, I would never play a console.

Well release dates are fine now...Though they used to be pretty harsh... What is the funniest though is this insane fantasy that casuals have that buying a €400 console they will save more money than a €900 PC... Are they so blind to not see the €60-€70 games?
