Well the ratio of PSP vs DS sales isn't as big in NA or Japan. *weeklyI seriously wonder how they collect data from 50+ independant countries where each of them has their own store chains and stuff. I call this really vague estimates if at all. You wont ever get exact data from Europe, maybe from the EU and even that is seriously doubtful.

The simple answer is, THEY DON'T.
Their numbers are just estimates.
The Wii is dropping in Europe and Japan.
The PS3 should take over those regions soon.
XenogearsMaster
While this is a possibility Im going to wait for the release of SMG and SSBB and then next year Mario Kart to see what happens.
If sales in Japan are consistent after the release of the 40 GB system, then it might start to catch up.The Wii is dropping in Europe and Japan.

[QUOTE="Out_Kast3000"]It's still beating the crap out of PS3/360.Wii is slipping.
It barely beat the ps2.
Bigboi500
The Wii just beatthe PS3by just 12,000. Not much of a"beating."

United States of Europe
It has free movement of goods..same currency for the 70% of the states soon to be 90% and anyone can live anywhere they want....
How does VG charts get their numbers from all those countries? I am really starting to not trust their numbers.albi321
They said it in their site. Go there and read it.

That adds up to 50,000 a month, I'll stand by the term.[QUOTE="F-Minus"][QUOTE="True_Gamer_"][QUOTE="F-Minus"]I seriously wonder how they collect data from 50+ independant countries where each of them has their own store chains and stuff. Well that is ture, yet all the countries have their own respective government and laws and contitutions and not all EU members have changed to the same currency known as Euro. For instance I live in Slovenia, member of EU, and I can tell you for sure that none of our electronic store chains transmit any data to anyone, but themselves and maybe local queries of the department of econmy. They could make estimates of units shipped, but that's all. And we're not really the only one.
But I guarantee you that neither Sony, MS, or Nintendo don't get any reply from our stores, let alone some independant data collecting groups, maybe once every few years they send a survey, which in the end is also an estimate, as they can't controll the whole area and question around a million of store chains in every possible location in Europe. While this is possible to some extent in the USA, the numers there are also quite inaccurate, as some shops don't send the data, or they are not even asking it from them, if i'm aware correctly.
