Evaluate your March Pick-ups!

Here are mine:

FFXIII - looks great but it falls short of being epic. I played it and enjoyed the battle system but I don't feel like returning back to it yet.
God of War - Epic Forever
Resonance of Fate - Haven't fully started it but it seems more like an RPG than FFXIII.

Only picked up FFXIII so far this month. Great game, with a fantastic battle system. Story is quite good, though slow to pick up.

I'm hoping to pick up Resonance of Fate soon though.

FF13 - disappointing but enoyable.
GoW3 - disappointing as well, but much more fun then FF13.

Final Fantasy XIII

Thats it.

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing
A fantastic alternative to Mario Kart, the game looks wonderful, the track design is fantastic and the music is superb. I would have liked a bit more variety in the course and character selection, with nods to some of SEGA's other properties, but all in all, Ive been very addicted to it. 3/5

A Boy And His Blob
I love this game. The puzzles are excellent and the hand drawn graphics are simply gorgeous. More games like this need to be made. The control scheme is a bit weird, I would have liked to customise it so I could use the dpad to move, and Boy's voice was a bit annoying. But there is a hug button! 4/5

Tatsunoko Vs Capcom
Ive actually enjoyed this a lot more than Street Fighter IV, which I didnt think would happen. Its been fun using the characters that I didnt recognise, and the game is much more accessable which I like (given that I suck at fighting games). The online is really fleshed out too, doesnt feel limited in any way. Would have liked a less-rushed-out story mode, though, it was even worse than SFIVs. 3/5

Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Gorgeous game, but intensely repetetive. Ive only just opened this one, so I dont have much to say, but from initial impressions, I would say 3/5

Dead Space Extraction
Not your typical rail shooter! The game has excellent graphics, great animation, good voice acting, and fits into the Dead Space mythos very very well! Of course I would have loved a third person game, but the mechanics in this make it feel like Im not playing a rail shooter. The camera was nice and smooth, and it genuinely freaked me out in places. 4/5

My birthday is coming up, so I havent bought as much as I could have - have hopes for God of War III, Final Fantasy XIII and Heavy Rain by the end of the month ;)

Final Fantasy XIII (PS3 Version): Loving it so far

God of War III : Can't wait to play it.

FFXIII - Dissapointing on so many levels, yet still a good game.

BFBC2 - Excellent game, washed the bad taste out of my mouth that MW2 left

Heavy Rain - Excellent game. Even if i'm the only one out of all the people i know who thinks so.

Battlefield Bad Company 2: Great game, addictive multiplayer with an pretty decent single player campaign.

God of War 3: Im a quarter of the way through and this game has been blown away.

Final Fantasy XIII: Havent started playing yet. Waiting to finish GOW 3 so I can focus my time on it.

Tekken 6 (PS3) - Great fighting game, online is a lot of fun, but it hurts my thumbs!

Far Cry 2 (PS3) - Not played it yet, expecting it in post tomorrow!

Killzone 2 triple map pack - Awesome addition of 6 maps and 2 guns to the already excellent multiplayer of Killzone 2. Love it!

MGO expansion - Some very cool maps and game modes where one player on each team takes on the role of a main charactor, like Solid Snake, raiden, Liqued, Vamp and more.

Metroid Prime Trilogy - amazing

I'll only say games that were released in March, and I only bought BC2 out of these two.

BC2 -

Pros: Bullet drop, large and entertaining environments, diversity in vehicles, fun sniping.

Cons: Shotguns, overpowered vehicles, little recoil on many guns, over powered weapons, vehicle spamming, unwanted medic revivals, campers.

Dante's Inferno

Pros: Some creativity in the lust level.

Cons: Shallow combat, unlikeable main character, bastardized plot, repetitive boss fights, boring "puzzles", repetitive locations.

1.5/10

Warhawk: Very fun game, and the vehicles are very good and easy to use.
Pokemon Heart Gold: Seems to be a good remake of my favorite pokemon game. I haven't played much of it through due to,
God of War III: Best game this gen so far IMO. Graphics are surperb, the weapons and magics you get are very fun to use, the pacing is great, and has some of the best boss battles.

No More Heroes 2: Still my favorite series on the Wii. A great sequel to my favorite Wii game that improves on the original in most respects.(Thoughthe T and A seems a little much at times, and is needlessly juvenile and mysogynistic. Much more so than the original.)

God of War III: Fantastic in every regard except it's short-ish length. Console graphics king, and the best action adventure ever made so far imo.

Metro 2033: Atmospheric stealth FPS that I am absolutely in love with. I think this one is destined to become a cult classic. An underrated diamond in the rough, and a total surprise in terms of it's quality.

Perfect Dark XBLA: Oh, the nostalgia! I played this game so much in my youth, firing it up in HD is like hanging out with a long lost friend. Can't wait to beat it on Perfect difficulty with the new controls. I'm in retro heaven!

Red Steel 2: Can't wait to try another rare Wii game that caters to my demographic... but obviously I haven't played it yet.

So yeah, I'm having a great month game wise.

God of War 3= Great game, It's in my top 3 games of the First Quarter

Battlefield Bad Company 2= Great multiplayer although lacking some content. SP is solid but way too cookie cutter. Overall good first person shooter.

Final Fantasy 13= Good battle system, enjoy the music, story is interesting. Way too repetitive, horrible writing, far too linear for 20 plus hours, kind of a let down for the series standards.

FFXIII: Good but not great. Lacks a lot of elements that you would find in a RPG even a JRPG. (I'm not this talking about the lack of towns)

Pokemon: More the same thing but very fun to play

GOW3: Can't comment yet my brother is still playing so I haven't even started yet.

MegaTen: Strange Journey: Can't judge since it doesn't come out until next week.

Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening

I love all of the tweaks and new additions RPG system, but the voice acting and other things feel like the B-team made it. I am enjoying the story though. It's very focused this time and there is a central bad guy who is getting fleshed out and is well defined, which is a big improvement over the last game imo. It's seems pretty lengthy with sidequests as well. Despite increased technical hiccups and the other issue I mentioned, I'm very satisfied with my purchase so far.

Pokemon SoulSilver: pretty sweet, I like it a lot so far, definetly does the original justice :D

Perfect Dark XBLA: pretty good, like the single player, but online is too laggy imho.

Batman Arkham Asylum-Nicce, cant believe when I played the demo I chose to initially skip this game because I didnt think Id like it lol I was a fool :P

Pokemon Heart Gold: Almost everything I wanted from the remakes of my favorite games of all time. Pokewalker surprisingly works very well. A+

Mass Effect 2: Love it much more than the original Mass Effect. Combat is much improved, and I couldn't care less about the RPG aspects it lost. Kinda wish there were more weapons, but its not that big of a deal. A-

And thats all I've got so far. Right now I'm comtemplating getting Bad Comapny 2, Final Fantasy XIII, SMT Strange Journey, Tekken 6 Collectors Edition, Dragon Age Awakening, and Metro 2033 all for PC/360 or finally get a PS3 with Uncharted 2 and Demon's Souls.

Darksiders - Great Zelda clone

God of War 3 - Amazing

Perfect Dark - Dated yet still extremely fun.

FF13- After a slow start I'm liking the battle system. Pretty good.

God of War III- I've only played the first hour. That was the most epic opening I have experienced in a game. Ever.

Left 4 Dead: Freakin Awesome. This game has managed to make me pull a 180 on my view of FPSs.

Fable 2: Just barely played it. Probably will put more hours into it in May when I'm through with classes.

FFXIII - Awesome!

God of War III - Only played for 10 min but those 10 minutes were awesome.

Resonance of Fate - Just got it today...awesome?
