meh... during the launch and around the same amount of time the 360 was out, I was still playing my PS2 over the "next gen" system. So I personally preferred my Wii more than the 360 during the same amount of time... I love my 360 now, but not this much when it launched.
Shooters are a good portion of the market. PS3's biggest and only genuinely worthwhile launch game was a shooter. The Xbox 360 is just a good place for shooters. However, JRPG's, adventure games (somewhat), Western RPG's, Fighting games, etc. are all very well represented on the 360 as well as shooters.

It is sad, but what can I say, people are stupid. I mean Wii Play outsold Virtua Fighter 5. This industry is going to hell, thanks to Nintendo. Well, what can you say? Wii Sports was a much better game. Even if NIntendo is destroying the industry like you say (I happen to disagree), there is always other gaming options and PC too.

This industry is going to hell, thanks to Nintendo. i dont think so. when i played the old school consoles (nes,snes,etc.) i played for fun. and that's what's happening to casuals now. just playing for fun. so i guess vf5 is fun, but it doesn't seem so for casuals. after all, before a game like vf5 becomes really fun, you have to be good at it, to be really good at it, you have to practice all the time.
I stopped buying Wii games. They sure were fun, but by the end of the day I had already beat them and was back playing all the late gen PS2 JRPGS i missed.
