Edit: Apparently in Adam Sessler's interview with some Need for Speed devs they said their game is going to be using P2P.

This will be interesting since AE and some other do like to have its own servers,they even fight MS about it on the original xbox days for it.

But now you care about dedicated servers.? Those are rare on 360 and way more plentiful on PS3.
