Everyone should own either a 360 or a gaming PC (or both)

... IMO.

I can't honestly see how anyone can go without the great gaming lineup these two systems have. This gen they share more games than any other, and the games they do share are proving to be the best games of the gen. If you've got a bit of money laying around, you're more of a PC gamer or an RTS fan, you need to get yourself a good PC for this gen. If you've got a bit less money, you're more of a console gamer, or you're a Halo fanatic then opt for the 360. Either way it doesn't seem like you can go wrong.

And if you have both then you're a lucky ******* ;)

From there it seems to me that if need be you can supplement your gaming with something more unconventional like the Wii if you want some crazy motion sensing fun or if you're crazy about high def movies you can get yourself a PS3.

I honestly don't know what people are talking about when they say this gen sucks or whatever. Seems fine so far to me. Maybe they just have the wrong console. ;)

Because there aren'tenough available good games/justification to buy a PS3 right now.....that you couldn't buy on a cheaper system.

There might be in the future. At which point one will be able to buy a PS3 for less than what they cost now. When or if that happens in the future, I am sure someone will buy the PS3.

P.S. Notice the topic. Either a 360 or a PC. If we want to play the + + game, we ought to say why not PC+360+PS3+Wii. After all, how many currently available good PS3 games are there that aren't available on either PC or 360?

Most gamers own a PC (w/ 360, PS3 or Wii).

Many of the games that are on 360 & PS3 will end up on the PC. So if you have a highend PC and love FPS & RTS games more then anything else, the PC is for your. Anyone who likes a variety of games will should the 360, PS3 or Wii (or a combination of two).

Precisely...because they actually have good game librairies right now. Of course, if you can afford them all, and want them all, then get them all...but IMO neither the Wii nor the PS3 have justifiable game libraries at the moment to be the primary system.

There are a LOT more. I didn't even include the games that are console exclusive. You don't even want me to start that list. There are literally 100's of consoles games that will never see the light of day on the PC and many of the quality PC shooter will be on the PS3 & XBox 360. So why do I need a PC for gaming?

Are you serious? To me, the 360 is completely not worth owning. Not only do I find the line up overrated by many on here, but the defective parts that went into making this console are reason enough to stay away from it. Even if you bring in the argument about the 3 years warranty, all I have to ask you is are you going to be gaming for only 3 years? That's just ridiculous. Even my PS2 has lasted me 5 years despite all the DRE errors. I have zero confidence in the 360 lasting after the 3 year warranty is up.Zhengi

That XBox 360 hardware issue will be fixed long before the 3yr warranty is up. Microsoft is already starting to incorporate the new XBox 360's with heatsink solutions to stop the 3 Red Ring issue. By this time next year, it'll be an afterthought. It's all about the games for me. The 360 has the best quality titles right now. Once the PS3 gets some decent games and a lower price, I'll pick one up. I could care less about PC gaming right now until Starcraft 2 is released and maybe Spore.
