Everyone who wanted a PS3 already has one...

When you look at the 82% drop in sales after launch and all the other weekly sales stats I think it's easy to tell that people have clearly made up their mind if they want one right now or not. It's not like they're hard to find anywhere. So when it launches and sells a ton initially those sales pretty much account for the majority of people who wanted one in that region.

This contrasts the Wii b/c there's been a constantly higher demand than supply in almost every region.

I want a PS3 but b/c of it's price in conjunction with it's lack of worthy library I decided to hold off. I know a few gamers on my team I work with that have the same attitude.

It's not that we don't want it, it's that we don't want it enough yet.

lmao, hardly everyone that wants it got it already. Regardless of a sales drop in Europe. Some are waiting for games, some are waiting for price drops. The games are coming out this year, and more than likely there will be either a 100-150 price drop this year, it'd be smart for sony.E_x_i_l_e

That's not true. I want a PS3 and I don't have one yet. Not getting one till late this year. 

There's still a few PS2 games I need to play.

In any case, most consumers wait 2 years before purchasing a next gen console, as evident by the sales spike in both the PS1 and PS2 two years after launch.

Everyone who wanted the 360 got one already just look at the sales they still cant pass the  10 million mark..lol....And  for the  wii's   the sales is dropping..i been seeing lots of wii's here at my stores..And i am sure when PS3 gets MGS4, Final Fantasy Versus, Heavenly Sword, Warkhawk, Ratchet and Clank,Uncharted Drakes Fortune, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, White Knight Story, LittleBigPlanet and etc comes out ..It goin to push PS3 sales.. Games play a  big part in selling systems..so stop bein a fanboy yourself.. and who isnt suprise that sales decreasing in the 2nd week it also happened to the 360 and wii too..

False. I don't have one yet and I am not in any hurry yet. I haven't even started God of War II yet. I am waiting until some more games to release like The Drakness , Ninja Gaiden Sigma , and Lair . I also want Resistance and possibly Motorstorm. I kind of want to jump in and get started a little early and work on these games before I get overwhelmed towards the end of the year with other games.

No they didn't. Nintendo has clearly out-shipped sony by a wide margin.

Supplied more?  Heh...no.  They made their goal of 6 million shipped by the end of March.  Yet...the Wii has sold just over 6 million in that same amount of time.  They supplied the same as Nintendo, but have NOT been selling well.

I don't think sony made the 6 million shipped mark. It's more like 3.5 or 4. 

   Yep, the bovines are back in dumb excuse mode. Let's face it, sure a week after launch you can expext a decrease in sales, but 82%? I guess it didn't ake Europe long to figure out why the $600 Weightstation is sitting on store shelves worldwide.

  Bu bu bu wait until (insert PS3 game) comes out, ROFL like MS and nintendo aren't going to release games during the same timeframe.

This topic doesn't take into account whether one is saving up or not. I find that it glosses over some extremely obvious logical steps, and is wholly inadequate as a source of information.
