[QUOTE="jessie5788"][QUOTE="AgentVX"][QUOTE="jessie5788"]why are people still saying blu-ray isn't necessary. Every week a new developer says that the have so much space with blu-ray and they aren't limited blah blah. Then comes the treads about how it isn't necessary and sony should just use hard drives with dvd 9. This is a joke why would sony step back with the ps3. first ps2 used dvd. I don't want a system that has the same drive as my ps2. i like upgrading if i'm going to spend the money on a ps3 it better have a new technology. Second a devolper knows more than a fanboy. If they like it why argue about it.AgentVX
See, right here is just stupid fanboy talk. He/she goes on talking about not wanting "last gen" stuff, but is playing with a last gen controller without rumble. Oh, I forgot, rumble is last gen.........and the motion control, LOL, boy, that sure turned up to be a great feature..........ROTFLOL........
Go play resistance, or Motorstorm. I know there launch titles, but the only decent games right now for a system that is sorely missing, ahhhh, well, games. Oh, I forgot, you can watch bluray movies on your gaming system, one that won't even support java applets. The bluray player is already out of date on the PS3, and I won't mention those longer load times. At least with those longer load times, you can cook some KD before the level loads.
you reply made me laugh. stupid fanboy talk. i'm talking about the blu-ray format not the controller but i'll reply. last i heard sony putting rumble back it may be a rumor but i don't care. second you didn't make a intelligent reply about anything i said. blu ray being out of date?? first i heard that, i didn't hear developers maxing out 50gb. like i said before a developers > fanboy(you)
Well, obviously my comment flew past your head. You go on flapping about not wanting old tech (hardware), but your playing with an old out of date controller.I never said that bluray was out of date, now, did I? I said it's slow, has not much to do with gaming this gen, and all the touted benifits will only benifit the very few right now, or 5 years down the line. Bluray has killed the PS3 in term of sales, and will always be the system out of reach for the mainstream consumer until 4 or 5 years down the line, in which the new systems will be around the corner.
Bluray for a gaming system is the single worst thing Sony could of done, but the best for pushing a newcopy protected/restricted movie format down the consumers throats. But, thanks for trying!
how is the controller out of date, it works i don't see anything that could be old . I highlighted where you say the blu ray was out of date. Second why would you wait 5 years down the line for blu-ray to become mainstream I rather have the blu-ray in my ps3 then buying an add on later. its called future proof. Ms should take note, do things right so you won't look stupid in the future. You seems to be ignoring the fact that developers like blu-ray or did that fly past your head. developers are running out of room for certain games on dvd 9 but blu ray isn't needed. blu ray isn't being pushed down your throat its there for a reason.
