excite truck>>motorstorm

yeah i know everybody thinks im crazy now but let me explain. i recentlt rented excite truck from gamefly(thousands of games to rent or buy!) and i have played motorstorm for maybe a half hour at target and i have come to that conclusion.

im not much of a graphics whore like most of you here but i dont think excite truck looked half bad compared to other wii ganes, and motorstorm was pretty but was very hard to control even compared to a game like excite truck which was the first game ever to use that control sceme.im just wondering if anybody agrees with me?

Playing a demo at Target at 30 minutes doesn't really let you judge the game.

If you're having a hard time controlling Motorstorm, I don't see how you can play any racing game.

You get the two options: classic control and motion control.

I would also say that Motorstorm has a lot more depth with multiple vehicles and online play.

Stopped reading after you said I played Motorstorm for half an hour at target. If you want to make a comparison play the game and not the demo. Heck the demo off of PSN is better than the one at the retail stores.

the first 5 mins i play it im like wow thisd game looks great the phsyics are great i cant wait to get this,well while my mom is shopping im standing there thinking damn this isnt that great i mean i could have excite truck for way less money and have way more replay value.

wow. i don't understand how motorstorm was harder to control than excite truck. that game was not the best. the graphics were garbage, the controls were innovative, but still gimmicky garbage, there were like 6 things you could drive at most with like 5 tracks. overall, motorstorm is a lot better game with the closest to photorealism i've ever seen, and more cars/trucks than excite, and however crappy it is, it has online. and it only had like 8 tracks, but at least they weren't boring ones like in excite truck.

I for one think multiple vehicles and online provide significantly more replay value. (That's not to say Motorstorm shouldn't have had more.)

blided sony fan boy ftl..........ok heres my take while exite truck is a great fun game for a while, i have no idea what u are talkin anout when it somes to replay value..............motorstorm does offer online play but is much less fun to play(sence of speed is horrible, physics/graphics r great)so neither game takes the crown

Actually I am sheep and I have to disagree. Although motorstorm may not have been as successfull at Wii at as a MUCH higher production value and I bet sony worked really hard to get it out there. In truth its an amazing game. Great physics, great graphics. Standard gameplay. On the other hand I have to admit that Excite truck is actually really funn!alchemist007

Fun is up to the person who played it, yet you can't choose between which game is better between playing 1 track and two cars (that's what I believe the Motorstorm demo is). You rented Excite Truck, which means you got to play the whole thing. You only played a little bit of Motorstorm for 30 minutes.

I'm not saying you're wrong, just that you're not completely educated on it yet.

you have never played Excite Truck i see. it has at least 15 different vehicles that you can customize (sorta) and 7 totally different areas with like 30 tracks in all. it aso had 2 difficulty levels AND splitscreen multiplayer. what you say makes no sense. ET controls are "gimmicky garbage" but what about Motorstorm? they are the same except unrepsonsive and akward to turn that controller. Motorstorm motion control sucks. so it is bad AND gimmick. at least ET works. also, when at full speed i have experienced slowdown and even lag in Motorstorm but ET has the best sense of speed ive seen since the F-Zero on GameCube. noob ...

all the tracks are just as boring in excite truck, besides, the graphics are damn horrible.... you can play it for 5 minutes without getting bored, it's just like all other wii games, a gimmick. and who uses motion controls, when u can use sweet sixaxis regular and proven awesome controls.
