Looking good.
His animation for running down stairs looks unnatural, but I assume it's an early unfinished build.
That was some badass ****, i thought they were doing a MGS4 parody at the beginning when it looked like he was crawling. The urban environment and new fighting mechanics looked great. And they improved the animations!
Can't wait. My top anticipated game of 09.
why do people hate linear games so much? Half-Life was pretty linear yet everyone hails it as the second coming. Halo was linear, and once again, the second coming. GoW, Ninja Gaiden, DMC...all linear and all great. While not always true, linear usually means better story and character development. Sacrifices have to be made when you are making non-linear games unless you pull a GTA where the game has 1 story line, but in order to get to the story missions you have to do a bunch of side quests first.Looks pretty sweet, but I hope it won't be too linear.

Theres a difference between being a linear game and a game that railroads through it. Halo CE for example I really enjoyed how you could approach thinsg differently and explore a little. In Halo 2 I hated the way I was forced down a path with no options and the SP experience really suffered. So being linear in itself isn't too bad as long as its not "too linear" :Dwell I can already tell this game is gonna be my GOTY (that is if Splinter Cell Conviction is NOT released this year, if it is released it will destroy every game this gen, yes im a SC fanboy)
[QUOTE="Stringerboy"]It's not, believe me. Everyone who played Uncharted knows how subtle and fresh the game is. WTF?! Uncharted is more like Tomb Raider than Gears. Plus, Uncharted isn't all futuristic, and you're in jungle environment(or you're in a foreign city here). Kinda sad how people compare Uncharted and Gears just because they are TPS's. Gears is more shooter, and Uncharted is more action/adventure.Just looks like gears with platforming elements. Doesn't interest me at all.

I would wait a few weeks to see if it is announced as a greatest hits title. E3 seems like a good time for them to announce it. Isn't it like Platinum, import:P On-topic:Looks awesome, can't wait for the beta[QUOTE="AlexSays"]Looks great. I'm actually buying the first Uncharted this weekend.Nike_Air
I love the way it looks, theres no denying the fact that Naughty Dog has made a great game with this sequel, but its not giving me that Uncharted vibe to be honest. I understand there will be more environments than a middle-eastern warzone, but I really miss the lush Indiana Jonesy jungles and temples from the first game. Hopefully we'll see at least some heavily vegetated areas.
Looks good, and the animations are impressive.
But it looks just like the first Uncharted in that there doesn't seem to be much actual exploration. The game seems to force you into going the way it wants you to go,far too linear imo. There should definetly be multiple paths you can choose from.
For a game whose main character is supposed to be an explorer, the lack of choice in how and where you reach you're destination is big let-down.
Ok....Thats the last Uncharted2 footage Im ever going to watch until I personally get the game. I havent been this hyped for a game in so long. I crave more but I wont watch any more. Most games disappoint with mass hype from me but I can tell U2 will be just fine.
Wooh Drake has learnt cqc and stealth lol

It looks better than gears, with more gameplay elements. I love Gears SP, but this game looks better. Dont be a fanboy! ;) Gamer Tag :Shysun21.Just looks like gears with platforming elements. Doesn't interest me at all.

"Wooh Drake has learnt cqc and stealth", That was in part one!.That really reminded me of MGS4. Anyway uncharted does nothing for me, i dont hate the game like i hate the GoW series and Dead Rising series but its just meh to me. I would infinitely prefer a Heavenly Sword sequal which is much better. I guess the majority made that decision for me.
I dont like how the game looks alot more clay than the first. I preferred the jungle setting to the war torn city.

The first game took place all over the place(city, jungle, U boat, underground) I expect nothing less from Uncharted 2.Looks good, and the animations are impressive.

First, It looks much better than part one. Second, we only saw 5 minutes of gameplay, theres no way you can say that it doesn't have exploration! Thats what the game thrives off of, dont be crazy.ofcource ps3 sucks at the end of the day right mate "puts arm on your shoulder* so hows Halo? LOL that made me laugh out loud literally. Lets hope so. Ive only played the uncharted demo, i didnt know the first went into the city. Im just a little tired of the war torn environment,

No choice? Naughty Dog already said there will be multiple path ways in certain areas, more dynamic exploration/platforming, choice in combat - stealth or all out action whenever you want, and varied environments - urban, mountains, caves, villages. For a linear adventure game standards U2 will be just FINE (on paper at least it sounds perfect). Stop hating and enjoy a good looking and promising game when you see it ;) (unless you just straight up hate adventure games :( ).[QUOTE="Generalmojo"]ofcource ps3 sucks at the end of the day right mate "puts arm on your shoulder* so hows Halo? Hes too blind to see it, damn M$ goggles
Lol... really? That's your complaint??? That it isn't an open world game??? You must play a VERY small selection of games this gen then... I like open path games as much as the next guy. But I SURE AS HELL don't want every game to start doing that. Open world games are their own genre... a good action/platforming game HAS to be structured.Looks good, and the animations are impressive.
