why are we comparing the trees of a game that's running on an engine so powerful that no PC available to the public can run it without turning into a slideshow to a console game that doesn't even have a set release date?

honestly, i could care less about how the trees look in Fable 2, i just want them to improve on the whole what-you-do-affects-the-world-around-you gameplay elements

hes the person on system wars who is hyping fable 2 as having better graphics then anythign that the ps3 can make and also he thinks that fable 2 has better graphice then crysis....he had a whole topic about the amount of leafs on fable 2 trees...which is how i thought this topic started :P

they're friggin trees! why does it matter?

i'm sure Fable 2 will look nice and pretty when it comes out, but you should probably be caring about how the gameplay works out...i dont care if you can cut down a whole friggin forest of realistic trees when the game comes out if the gameplay and story turn out to be crap

Crysis is king in physics, that is for sure, i never said otherwise

So, they are not better looking, but they do have better physics for sure

not only can crysis' trees be manipulated but even in stills they look better than fables. honestly i really think you might be legally blind because even the screens you picked of fable 2 the trees look horrible. really flat bland texturing, the leaves like 2d its just awful. they are colorful though ill give you that

note: lets all keep in mind that Fable 2 is not being designed to look realistic...the Fable games are designed to look more...cartoony, for lack of a better word

its not really fair to be comparing a FPS built on the most powerful engine thus far that is meant to look hyper-realistic to an action-RPG built on an engine optimized for a console that is meant to lack realism...and in the end, when you're playing Fable 2, you'll end up walking past the trees and not caring

The Fable 2 pic you chose, is from a game that has 8 more month to go, so it is not fair to compare a finished game to Fable 2 in the first place

Second, i gave pics with TREES, not palm trees, if you like take a pic with trees in HD and post it

im looking forward to Fable 2.

He has seen the truth, he has seen dozens of pages of truth. I remember them, multiple 500+ post threads with dozens of screenshots of many different games besides Crysis ALL looking better than that utterly pathetic Fable 2 forest screeshot that has now gained much infamy here.
