Having played both, and not really loving either...I will say...Fallout 3, but barely.
Fable 2 dissappointed on so many levels, as did Fallout 3, but I expected FO3 to be the kind of lame game it was...I expected Fable 2 to great, which it wasn't.
So, FO3 wins by default.
It's like saying what's better, Mustard or Mayo?
Fallout by leaps and bounds. Only fanboys will say Fable, Fallout is clearly the better game.0bscurity
If someone's never played Fallout or Fallout 2, that is.
The poll is pointless, ones a multiplate and ones an Exclusive. The multiplat will win due to biased fanboys and simply because more people have played it. Why even bother including it.
I've only played fable 2 myself so i can't comment, after how horrible oblivion was i couldn't bring myself to try fallout.
Both are amazing, i would not call myself a gamer if i did not buy both
I prefer Fable 2 for the fun combat, vastly more next gen and varied world and medieval theme, but Fallout 3 was one of the best 2008 games too
I wonder what is the point of choosing only one ? I would never do that, i bought both day one, and will buy every single upcoming expension this janury, starting with the huge and exiting one for Fable 2 tomorrow, adds some cool armor that was missing fro mthe game, new huge areas that change, new quests etc, vast expansion

I've religiously played Fallout 1 and 2. Fallout 3 is still much better then Fable 2.[QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"][QUOTE="0bscurity"]Fallout by leaps and bounds. Only fanboys will say Fable, Fallout is clearly the better game.0bscurity

Depends, Mayo with my french fries but dijon mustard with hamburgers and brats :P
On topic, Fable 2 was a lot more fun the Fallout 3. Even if Fallout 3 had the better writing and much more depth, I enjoyed Fable 2's light hearted atmosphere a lot more. Fable 2 I could pick up the game do a quest and feel like I did something worthwhile, not really the same effect in Fallout 3.
In the poll I voted for Fallout 3 because it asks which is the better RPG, but your first post asks which is the better game and I give the nod to Fable II by a hair. I don't consider Fable a pure RPG so that's why Fallout is a better RPG
*Just a note - the only thing that matters in my rankings for a game is the fun factor. Technical achievements are great but if a game isn't fun who cares how it looks, sounds etc.

This explains what I meant better than I explained it myself. Thanks for taking my thoughts and putting them into words. :)
Fable 2 is "RPG lite" for the ADD kids. It's linear, simplistic and amazingly shallow. I think I would rather play Untold Legends on PS3 or something.TekkenMaster606As sad as it is, I would actually rather play Untold Legends. How sasd. To answer the question. The 30 or so minutes of Fallout 3 I played were magnitudes better than all I played of Fable 2. I only made it halfway through the game, I couldn't take anymore. It was so boring. Oh god.
