I know I missed some other ones, Brute Force, FF:CC, etc, but man these games had to be the most hyped games ever. Not to say that they were bad or terrible, but the hype they got wasn't even close to the final product. Did I miss some other ones?

Out of all those, I think Killzone was the one that underperformed the most. That's only because it was called the Halo-killer and people actually bought into it.

Starfox?:? Which one, I don't remember too much hype for any of them...

Anyway, anyone sane would realize the most hyped game that failed to deliver was Fable...

I was hoping for more out of Brute Force, but I still finished it. Killzone was a pretty big flop, with all the "Halo killer" attatched to it. Then again, I didn't really follow console gaming until this gen rolled around. Now I'm hooked :)

I think Killzone was the Biggest because the "Halo Killer" and to be called a Halo Killer it would of had to get 9.8+ here because Halo got a 9.7 here.

Fable over-promised, but it was a great game for what it actually delivered. Killzone was hyped as a Halo-killer and it was far from it.
    Therefore, I say Killzone.

You thought it would be like Morrowing? I mean no offense to you but I never once thought it would be like Morrowind, it looked like a lot more action then Morrowind ever did pretty much from day 1, when they announced the gameplay.

I meant I thought it would be a wide open land to explore, lots of stuff to do, good long story ect. That type of thing which morrowind had.

Ah I see, I thought you ment how it was played. The only thing I thought what would be similiar would be open world to explore since they said that many many times.

Fable was hyped to be one of the best rpg ever, it fail short but it was still a great game.

But Killzone was hyped mid AAA and higher, it was going to be the Halo killer, but it didnt even get an A.

Yeah, but Fable was "the greatest RPG and most open-ended game ever to grace God's green earth."

Fable ended up being a great game, no doubt, but it failed to deliver on almost all it's promises.

I never really cared about the promises because I never had any intention to buy it at first. I bought my Xbox for KOTOR, and I picked up Fable for 20$ later on. I never bought into the hype because I never even planned on getting an Xbox.

Same here really, I heard the hype but, for some reason, I didn't believe it. I bought Fable at release for pull price, but was satisfied nevertheless. Still, It was the most hyped game last-gen, mostly at the fault of LionHead themselves.

Fable was definitely the most overhyped. On another note, I had a great time with Starfox Adventures.

Killzone wins. It was hyped as a Halo killer... and you all know the score. Both Fable and Star Fox were disappointments, but they were still great games.
