I don't think people will tire of SSBB because people that bought Halo didn't tire of it, and the people that bought SSB, and SSBM never tired of them, also SSBB has online which will make it last longer.
I don't doubt it, unless the 3rd party ramps up big time this gen it'll still be a mostly Nintendo dominated games lineup, and those kinds of lineups always tend to have big games then big droughts.cheezisgoooood
Thank you, thank you...I've been saying this to sheep since I've been posting here, but they deny it and say things like "Wii has the most 3rd party support ever" without justifying why Wii will not get Assassin's Creed, GTA IV, Mercenaries 2, Burnout games, etc...
"Tire of SSBB"? That's a good one. If I remember correctly SSBB's release date isn't confirmed either, thus it will come at the end of this year as well. Also there is ALWAYS VIRTUAL CONSOLE, something you can't predict.Mikazukinoyaibaactually SSBB is expected some time in June which I think is Q2.
So many Wii users have lowered their standards and become indoctrinated within Nintendo's marketing plan that they will purchase just about any game that combines motion sensing technology and a marketing icon.
SSMB, the pinnacle of pointless marketing-driven gameplay, will undoubtly enthrall a large portion of the Wii community for months to come. I guess the same people who do not tire of a franchise after the tenth release are the same people who do not tire of simple forms of gameplay after several months.
Outsiders looking in on the Wii community spot a community drowned of depth and meaning, people clutching their throats while fanatically screaming, "We don't need water! We don't need good games! We'll be just fine with a few drops of rain!" It baffles me a little more each down how a consumer could become so beguiled by a company that they lose their sense of judgement.
Yeah, I know sheep played SSBM long after its release and will probably do the same with SSBB...but is there any other game in between the release of SSBB and MP3, SMG that you are looking forward to or that is worth playing? AvIdGaMeR444
Somewhere in the middle Pokemon also comes out.....which will also be big for the Pokemon fans

AvIdGaMeR444Maybe No More Heroes if it is released the time I think it is I know it is expected in Summer in Japan but I don't know when it comes to U.S. also I want Fire Emblem Wii, Mario Party 8, some others.
But I doubt it'll bring any new fans, which is really what the console war priority should be about. Stealing or borrowing the consumers of rival companies. Sure, Pokemon sales like crazy but does it really appeal to many newcoming gamers? Other then those who are younger, I just don't see that many older gamers thinking of Pokemon Battle Revolution as a must-have Wii title who doesn't already like Pokemon. Personally, I love the Stadium games but lately Nintendo has been marketing the lame Coleseum series in order to force people to buy more software in order to be able to "catch them all" in one cartridge or be able to create anyteam they want in one game. Currently you need 4 different PKMN games in order to have all available pokemon to your choosing. That's crazy. They should just make one game that has all of the Pokemon available within it.Somewhere in the middle Pokemon also comes out.....which will also be big for the Pokemon fans
[QUOTE="AvIdGaMeR444"]tire of SSBB?

Is what you're saying even possible?
I still play SSBM today after.. what, 4 years at least. anyway, i'll have FE (hopefully to lst the summer) and besides, id ont play games in the summer as much, outside > inside in the summer ;)But I doubt it'll bring any new fans, which is really what the console war priority should be about. You may be right but Pokemon seems to be having a small come back the New Pokemon games have already sold over 5 million in Japan alone. They are working on the 10th movie and Cartoon network said that the number of viewers are on the rise.
If Pokemon is on a true come back it could make the Wii sales raise any more or at least keep it selling out.
Indeed third party support is a problem and probably will remain one if Nintendo doesn't ante up and suck up to third party developers. Nintendo has been bragging about "all of the third party developers interested in our system" but has failed to realize they haven't gotten any possible AA or AAA third party games or legendery developers. Instead, they get mediocre games or niche titles to use the Wiimote. Same goes for the DS still (although it is awesome) Nintendo had to show developers how to use the touch screen and what kinda innovation can be used and even so although there are many third party games on the DS, I can't think of even 1 that is worth mentioning. All great DS games have been first party.Mikazukinoyaiba
You bring up a good point....however Reggie Fils-Aime is rumored to have been sucking up to RockStar supposedly begging them for a GTA game for Wii. You're right though. Nintendo in general doesn't suck up to 3rd parties.
I think one of the major reasons Nintendo doesn't suck up to 3rd parties is because Nintendo knows it will make money regardless...of course most of that revenue is from their handhelds.
This could also be the reason why Ubisoft's games are always a million times better on the Xbox and Xbox 360 platforms than the Gamecube or Wii. Splinter Cell games on the Gamecube and now on Wii are terrible along with nearly every other Ubisoft game with the exceptions of Beyond Good and Evil and Rayman.
What I'm saying is that when Nintendo doesn't embrace 3rd parties with welcome arms, many 3rd parties end up making half-assed games for Nintendo consoles or just flat out abandon Nintendo for other systems.
Look at PS3...Supposedly companies developing for the PS3 have to sell a large margin of games to reap any profit. PS3 is selling at like one third the rate of Wii. With this logic, it would seem like 3rd parties would flock to Wii....They aren't. And here is why. 3rd party developers are not leaving the PS3 platform because Sony welcomes them with open arms.
Rather than abandon the PS3, 3rd parties are branching out and developing multiplat games on 360 as well....but not Wii. 3rd parties know that Microsoft and Sony will reach out to them. 3rd parties are skeptical of Nintendo and Wii and are not sure of its longterm success.
3rd parties also know that their multiplats on Gamecube didn't sell nearly as well as they did on PS2 and Xbox. Because of these factors, 3rd parties aren't embracing Nintendo like Nintendo expected they would.
What's SSMB? I assume you meant to type SSBM, which still wouldn't make any sense since that's a Gamecube game. Big words are only useful when you know what you're talking about. So many Wii users have lowered their standards and become indoctrinated within Nintendo's marketing plan that they will purchase just about any game that combines motion sensing technology and a marketing icon.

Tire of SSBB ? I'm still playing Melee.:P..anyway, when is it coming out?Nex_Ownage
GameStop website has a June date...but they are known to put out random dates without knowing the true date.
With the way Nintendo has been on MP3 and SMG, I wouldn't be the least bit shocked it SSBB was delayed....
To me it seems like third parties are going to the 360 over the Wii, instead of the PS3. Mainly I think this because of how Sony is going through many financial troubles and a struggle (that is a proven fact) but also in a recent magazine I read *it may have been Game Informer from a couple months ago) it would seem much like Nintendo was in the past (and partially still are) Sony has become big headed and arrogant. They hardly respond to third party developer's request, they don't cater towards them like they did before, ot seem to put the extra effort. It seems like Sony has lost their way bigtime and forgot what it was that made them so big, how accessible, easy, and responsive they were to the needs of third party developers. While Microsoft I heard is working hard to contact many developers, charging them even much less to develop games for their console, and very helpful and responsive. Like Sony use to be back in the day (although I predict that once Microsoft gets in the lead, they too will be arrogant next generation. Seems to be a pattern among the big three), Microsoft for now understands that companies are to cater to the third party developrs, not the other way around.Look at PS3...Supposedly companies developing for the PS3 have to sell a large margin of games to reap any profit. Sheep are perfectly used to buying only one legitimately good game every 2 months or so, because that's how Nintendo systems have been for years. You buy Nintendo's latest "biggest game", and then you'll find maybe 2 or 3 late ports in between every now and then. In a really bad year, you might only see 4 truly great titles out of Nintendo, and the rest would be multiplatform games with the online stripped out.Timstuff

Me too, no one played the game yet, so i'm afraid you might be right. The only good game with a solid release date is SPM, which I'll be getting. Other than that It might end being VC and another certain console *hugs X360 while standing on a ps3* all through the summer.[QUOTE="Timstuff"]Sheep are perfectly used to buying only one legitimately good game every 2 months or so, because that's how Nintendo systems have been for years. Ok, we are in Iwata Nintendo....my initial topic post hasn't been disproven. I said that after SSBB, sheep will have a game drought until SMG and MP3 are released. If we are now in "Iwata Nintendo", then tell me that there are games worth playing after SSBB that will be released b4 SMG and MP3....We are talking about a 5-6 month drought here...
Maybe, but if SSB has online, no sheep will be present on this forum for several months after it's released. You my friend are definitly correct. I still play SSBM at least twice a week with my friends. with online I think that will be my main game for months and months.
Really, the Wii seems to have the lowest number of games coming out of the three systems. I really don't care.fatzombiepigeon
but as for other good games comming this year

Sadness
and third parties are seriously getting into the wii. 15 from EA and 11 from somewhere else. 3rd parties were shying away from the wii because they, like everyone else, had no idea how the Wii was going to sell. Now they are jumping on. and Nintendo is really secretive about new projects.

What exactly is "pointless gameplay"? He's trying to sound superior to us sheep as always by saying every game released on a Nintendo system is "simple". You keep telling us to "face it," but maybe there's another reason we aren't listening to you. You're WRONG.
