[QUOTE="m_machine024"]I won't hype that project yet because Factor 5 sure know using hardware power but when it comes to motion controls.... it's different.SkullboyXThey did a good job with Gamecube. I mean Wiimote and Sixaxis motion controls. I mean they couldn't get Lair even playable. But we'll see.

"Whatever we're working on will at least blow you away in a lot of the technical aspects. We're really trying to do everything to squeeze the maximum out of the machine," he said. "I'm also hoping we're going to pay respect to what the console is all about, which is the innovation in terms of controls, in terms of accessibility, new experiences, things like that. We're really, really trying hard. I hope it's going to pay off. In terms of what we're working on; is it for third-party publishers, is it for a Nintendo first-party, what title is it? I won't give you a clue."
nice
"But the biggest milestone or mark right now is that we're almost done with the engine and it does everything that the PS3 did and then some, quite frankly. So we're pretty happy with that."
That has me interested...This game is on my watch list.
So far the only Wii games that interest me are Brawl, Okami, and This.
i like how they say they will push the wii to its limits.:D.....maybe this will payback for lairlegend26They actually got Rouge Squadron on GC to run more polygons than Halo 2 on Xbox. I can't wait to see what they do with Wii since they are already familiar with the interface and the Wii hardware is basically GC on a steroid.

yeah but the 6axis like, doesnt work.. the wiimote does
"Everybody is always talking about the motion control, but I think people are overplaying that a bit. I really, really love the pointing aspect of the remote. Although we're going to use everything for what we have in development, I think the pointing stuff is probably the biggest innovation which we're working on right now."
This alone puts me in a state of pure relaxation. This guy knows exactl;y what he's talking about and it pretty much guarentees this will be an amazing game. The pointer alone is single-handedly the most important control for the wii. The waggle is nice and all, but it's the pointer that truely makes games better. It's the pointer that makes dual analog look silly and primitive. All the great wii games have great controls because of the pointer.

I mean it seems like they kind of rushed the idea of motion controls in lair. They could have just made it optional like in warhawk.

Damn skippy! They owe the entire world for making Lair.
